Historically, Hopkins has not been much of a draw. But i am getting the sense that since his victory of Pascal, he has become more mainstream. Obviously not Pacquiao or Mayweather level but not completely irrelevant either.

    So how many buys?

I'd guess about 320K, I thought the fight would actually take place in Canada, the Bell Centre is packed out every time that there's a boxing event on.

So it looks like people aren't buying the notion that Hopkin's popularity has increased?

Rather than making a poll about this like a hormonal teenage girl with a crush on jason donovan, wait until after the fight and you will have your answer.

Ideally you remove yourself from the internet at the earliest opportunity, better still the gene pool.

Hopkins is not the biggest PPV draw but he gets OK figures. He sold 410,000 in the second Taylor fight but only did 190,000 against Pavlik and 150,000 against Jones Jr.

This fight has significance being for recognition as the the top light heavy and Hopkins is riding high after becoming the oldest fighter to win a world title. I suspect it will be between 250 - 300K.

His popularity has indeed increased due to his 2 exciting fights with Pascal, but the boxing public arent fools. This fight with Dawson has all the makings for a snoozefest. Its gonna be a game of "tag you're it" Styles make fights and Bhop/Pascal had all the makings for an exciting fight. Pascal's aggresive style gave Bernard no option but to fight. Chad is too relaxed and bland. He fights with no real ambition or "umph"

If they target this to insomniacs, it could do huge numbers.

This is a terrible matchup! Hopkins/Pascal was more ppv worthy than this. I would have watched this fight for free, but no way will I pay for it.
