    Blasphemy.

He's literally one of the best fighters below 122 ever. Never mind one of the best ever at super-fly.

    Insane.

Thats a bold statement, especially when you consider the depth of quality in the flyweight and bantamweight divisions throughout history:good

    Marquez:
    • Gainer
    • Salido
    • Jaca
    • Barrera(past best)
    • Casamayor(past it)
    • Diaz
    • Kats
    Mijares:

    • Rojas
    • Kawashima
    • Arce
    • Navarro
    • Sasakul
    • Rosas
    • Munoz
Not that much between them in terms of best victories. It's the Pacquiao fights and the manner in which Mijares lost to his stylistic kryptonite that gives the impression that Marquez is miles ahead of him.

Oh, and the fact that nobody cares about super-fly for the most part. Remember, not too long ago Mijares was actually rated higher than JMM P4P.

EDIT: The brackets beside those two are tounge in cheek, obviously you can pick holes in Diamante's too.

I don't think he's miles ahead of Mijares, that statement was more tongue-in-cheek than anything.

I do think his resume and accomplishments are clearly better though, even if by a relatively small margin.

He is Marquez though. Marquez. Even the name emanates greatness.

Of course they are better, I'm merely highlighting the fact that they aren't anywhere near as superior as some believe.

People won't believe it because I never shut up about him, but he is one of the most underrated and underappreciated fighters I've come across.

He said from 122 down though:huh

Even if he meant super-flyweight down, flyweight still has a great depth of talent throughout history:good

He's probably the most under appreciated fighter around today behind Moreno.
