Why is Amir Khan thinking he will be fighting Eric Morales next ?

Now Eric Morales an ATG, but with all due respect I don't think he will beat Lucas Matthysse at this stage in his career with this mini comeback.
So I take it Khan will fight Matthysse then move to welter ? or will he find an alternative opponent at 140 I am thinking the latter should Matthysse win in impressive fashion.

Are you saying the judges have already filled their scorecards ? as i would say Matthysse should be the heavy favourite to win.

There are 5 possible opponents for Khan's last fight at 140 - Peterson, the Guerrero-Maidana winner or the Morales-Matthysse winner.

After fighting Maidana, Kotelnik, Judah and trying his hardest to make a Bradley fight, why would Khan be scared of fighting Matthysse as the TS seems to imply?

I think he'd like Morales (even though Roach thinks there are much better options) because he's a legend who would hold a title and appears to be the perfect foil for Khan to look spectacular against.

Morales shouldn't beat Matthysse but I'm past doubting him and, if he wins, why shouldn't he and Khan fight?

If Morales clearly beats Matthysse then I'll be all for Khan-Morales.

If Matthysse wins as I expect him to (decisively), something tells me that Matthy will "price himself out" or something like that so we won't see him and Khan go at it.

Khan needs to fight this winner or the Maidana-Guerrero winner before going up and getting spanked by Floyd.

Well, some people will hate regardless. Although I think Khan is all wrong for Morales (my second-favourite fighter ever), if he beats Matthysse on the back of his performance against Maidana then he's earned the right to be taken seriously against anyone at 140.

i do think morales will struggle with khans movement however with khans wide elbows tendancy to hang his chin up and morales's counter punching skills could make it interesting

And I surely hope you don't think Morales is in his prime. I'm sure there are cockroaches who still insist that Barrera was at his peak when he fought Khan. :rofl

If Judah, a lefty with serious speed, couldn't land anything a beyond shot Morales surely won't. This will be one-sided for as long as it lasts with Khan doing most of the damage leaving Morales looking as shot as he really is and helpless. This is a pointless fight I personally don't want to see.

I have a feeling Khan will be fighting Guerrero next (providing he beats Maidana). Khan seems to be going southpaw crazy lately.
