    i said A golden age. the 90's had holyfield, tyson, bowe, lewis. plus it had foreman, holmes, mercer, moorer. great era.

    Boxing was illegal in most of Scandinavia up until the 90s....

    no. i don't know **** about boxing remember. i'm anti-klitschko. my posts about this era not really being weak are just to throw you off the trail. can't you see how biased I am? I'm so biased I occasionally make friendly posts just to confuse people.

    I'm just trying to establish why america has a shortage of decent heavyweights like someone said earlier america used to dominate the division.

    they dont run the division because boxing is more international than it used to be..its a pretty obvious answer...

    What also hurts the comparison between the two eras is the entertainment standpoint: the 90's was filled with juiced up knockout punchers and big personalities, and more of the bigger fights that needed to happen, did happen. That makes it much easier for casual fans to get drawn into it.

    A circus draws more people than a chess tournament.
