IF RIos wanted to he could beat him in semi easy... BUt Rios is Rios, and he wont go backwards he will get drawn into a war and get all he wants from Maidana..... But in the end RIos straighter, quicker punches and much better overall skills orevails here..

RIos is young and a good size lw so he should bring his power and chin up with him.... And hes definitely gonna need it..... I see it Back and forth, knockdowns scored by both guys.. THen RIos comes up big in the mdrounds almost taking him out.. Before Maidan makes one last run... But Rios sucks it up and comes back and stops Maidana in FOTY..

    RIos ko 10

This is true, but he doesn't box better than Khan and even he got caught, so I can't imagine Rios doing a better job defensively.

Rios is much faster than Maidana. The difference in speed would be the difference.

    Rios KO late.

I don't think so. He looked much faster and more fluid in spots when he had Morales against the ropes. He's putting his punches together better and quicker.

I think is safe to say that Maidana is facing a better fighter than Rios on august 27:good
He also did well against Ortiz which is all around a better boxer than Rios.

Maidna is used to fighting faster guys though. Think about how many of the fights he's been in where has had a speed advantage. He uses his durability, will, and power to overcome it. This will be a war of attrition.

So is Rios who beat Peterson and Acosta both of which had a big handspeed advantage. Rios lives for guys like Maidana who he would go to war with and come out on top. He IMO would land the bigger shots in the end terrorizing Maidana's body and busting him up badly. Rios by late round TKO or UD.

At this point I'd give Maidana the edge.

No way Rios takes his pressure?...**** if Khan can drop Maidana, I assure you Rios can, I'd be far more concerned about Maidana handling Rios' pressure. Furthermore, Maidana isn't nearly as skilled as Rios, I concede the size could be an issue, but I suspect Rios could carry the 140 fine, and if he can he wins this fight.

The size its not an issue, Brandon is a Big lightweight, this is simply not the clear cut easy fight people are making it out to be for Rios. Maidana has and is facing better opposition at this point, I dont see how Rios brings anything overwhelmingly different to the ring against Marcos.

Rios takes it to Maidana via bodyshots and possibly stops him
