Why you talking like a butt hurt *****. I didn't come attacking you and we're usually on the same page, but you're acting like a douche bag.
Yes Oscar has a big fan base obviously, but Oscar can't get 2.4 million ppv buys with anybody other than Floyd and that includes Pacquiao too.
Yes gatti has a nice fan base. So does Hatton and Marquez, but they still got their record paydays against Floyd.

DLH brought the majority of them and that is a fact.... when Floyd fought Baldimor how many PPVs did it sell? okay and that was all on Floyd... When he fought Oscar look at the difference in numbers....

How relevant is what they did earlier in their careers? Sure, Floyd would occasionally brawl early on, and Pacquiao was a one-handed puncher. What's important, IMO, is who's more versatile in the ring right now. Floyd is a great fighter, has better instincts than Manny and his actual style is better able to handle different kinds of fighters, but Manny is able to change his in-ring style better.

I guess there's ambiguity in what people mean by "versatilty". If you mean can he beat more different kinds of guys, then Floyd is more versatile without a doubt. But if you mean can he fight in the ring different than he always does, then I really think it's Manny. Both could be considered measures of versatility I guess.

Why brawl when you don't have to?

    :huh

Also...He beat on a few opponents by just boxing..sometimes u can do it by just boxing and not brawling at all man..some fights are just crowd pleasers with good, crisp, punches.

See the Gatti fight and the Ndou fight..

Like you, we've seen both guys fight at their best. Versatility in a fight most of the time happens when a fighter is losing, or if a fight is close.

Both guys rising up in weight is phenomenal. Pacquiao committing to the jab more and using the right hook against these wws is not versatility. That is a part of the learning process and being in shape under Roach. Pacquiao making you miss now and fighting off the ropes is versatility-especially the Cotto fight.

Pac did not do that against the smaller, more skilled smaller guys. He couldn't. That isn't a failure nor a slight towards Pacquiao. Floyd went from being aggressive on offense early in his career to offense/defense more.

You remember his dad saying before he fought Chico-after the fought Burton/Augustus that he needs to fight a smart, defensive fight because he was committing more to offense than defense. Floyd Sr knew that he couldn't do that with Chico. Floyd put it all together against Chico.

Floyd showed versatility in both fights with Castillo because he couldn't beat him one way. Castillo put tremendous pressure on Floyd. Floyd boxed and stood flat footed, fought out of the corner, used footwork, stood center ring.

I saw Pacquiao fight the same fight against JMM twice with the exception of coming out slower against JMM in the rematch and many think he lost that fight.

Both show versatility now, but Floyd has been using his versatility for years.

Floyd learned from his dad and uncle and combined both styles. Do you think Floyd fought one way his entire career???

Why do you talk down on a fighter for using defense?
