The upcoming fight between Pacman and Juan Manuel Marquez has me thingking about cases where one great fighter just seems to have another's guy's number. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking of Iran Barkley vs Thomas Hearns, Young Corbett vs Terry Mcgovern, Ezzard Charles vs Archie Moore, Antonio Tarver vs Roy Jones jr.

Disagree with yer strongly on barkley v hearns. barkley got a lucky punch first time and the second fight was very close

Jones was past it when fought Tarver but still won 1 fight

Oh thanks. We hadn't heard that one yet. What keen insight. You, sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

Pep was past his prime when he fought Saddler, but still clearly won the 2nd fight, and was way ahead on points in the 3rd and 4th fights before Saddler's illegal dirty tactics hurt pep

Liston-Patterson. They could've fought 100 times and the result would've been the same.

The same goes for Foreman-Frazier and Foreman-Norton.

I think Barrera had Morale's number. I didn't agree with the decision in the first fight at all, especially with the "knockdown." The fights were close but I think Barrera would've beaten Morales far more than Morales beat Barrera.

Apparently Leonard and Dave boy Green have become firm friends, often conversing on the phone.
