El Guapo is no match for this man... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSGNsawZ_rU&feature=related[/ame]
I've said it on here a long time ago. Grappling is organic and natural. Striking is not, especially boxing which concentrates even more on the head than kicking arts. Nice to see the respect for boxing. Loads of MMA are now going into boxing gyms where as before there was some stupid sort of battle. Now you got Roach, Davis and numerous others spreading knowledge.
King Mo Lawal, former LHW world champion, admitted in an interview that boxing is much more difficult to success than MMA. Q: Why you choose to start training in MMA? A: "Because is easier than boxing."
Yoga is harder than boxing. I also find tennis quite difficult. Most Judo players have absolutely **** head movement. They lose a boxing match pretty quickly. Powerlifters have no footwork.
Link? I just Google it and the top result was this page. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Ki...gc.r_pw.&fp=ed969f8825e47ed1&biw=1024&bih=543
yea i believe boxing is better than mma however i would rank skill and science of the three combat sports as follows. 1) Boxing 2) Kickboxing 3) MMA Boxing is the science and art of punching, kickboxing is utilising the right combination of kicks, knees and punches to beat your opponent and MMA is determining which "tools" will enable you to win e.g. wrestling, Bjj, Muay thai, boxing, kickboxing etc
Does anyone else thinks Ken and Frank Shamrock look like actual brothers even though they're not blood related?
it's ridiculous the comparisons between the two. people who specialize in any given field are more skilled in their area, and usually better paids. a family practice doctor makes less than a brain surgeon. top boxers make more than top mma fighters. coincidentally, top level sumo wrestlers make more than top mma fighters as well.
I can always tell when a thread comes from the General Boxing section because of the sheer stupidity of what is being said. That being said, this thread came from GBF.
