    you ever kickboxed?
I still do. I am 200 lbs and I guarantee i will knock you out with one kick, and I am not even near the level Reed was at, I am just an amateur who does it for fun but played soccer for a decade have a heavy fckin kick. All it takes is ONE KICK landing on the head clean and the guy goes down. Temple, jaw, either works.

It's not boxing. Leg kicks are absolute murder if they land clean. They've sent people to the hospital twitching in the stretcher. The kick Vitali took from Reed was right on the money, and Vit was a skinny young guy back then.

BTW, you speak of 2 knockout loses. Vitali has only 1 KO loss in kickboxing. Where did the second KO come from?

I'd rate his chin in the top bracket. He was badly wobbled by Sanders and might have gone down had it not happened at the end of the round, but it did so no debate there.

Of current boxers i'd only rate Oliver McCall and James Toney above him for iron-beardedness. Toney is a former middleweight who has never gone down in that or any other division, so a former MW taking HW punches is certainly something and McCall's chin is the stuff of legend...

You all know I am a Klitschko "hater".

But to be honest, for me it is impossible to accurately rate Vitali's chin. Why? Because he was barely hit cleanly throughout his career. Sanders and Lewis hit him hard and flush, but only Lennox landed hard punches throughou a fight, for many rounds.

Lewis is a great puncher, but he wasn't at his best versus Vitali, and he had to punch upwards, so levarages play a huge role.

Mike Tyson for example had a tremendous chin: he could take single bombs and he could take prolonged, very severe beatings (Ruddock, Bruno, Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis).

Vitali is capable of taking single bombs (Sandes, Lewis), but can he truly take a beating? I don't know, none of us know.

I don't think i'm over rating it to say it's clearly above peter and briggs. I'd say the same about wlad and even bowe.

Sanders has that marquee ko so I have no issue with anyone saying his power is proven.

Hide as I say, p4p probably hits harder than lewis but overall i'm not so sure.

Either way the point i'm making is that vitali had 2 monster punchers in his era, lewis and wlad, he fought 1 and never went down despite getting hit so there's no reason to question his chin.
