He was already a legend when he beat Buchanan and he was only 21 at that time aswell, when he was a teenager he beat Ernesto Marcel. Even if he never moved up to WW he would be regarded fairly high. But his win over SRL cements him as a true ATG

Joe Louis because he is the single most significant fighter of all time, hands down.

No such thing as a favourite but many favourites through different times.

1st ever favourite was Joe Frazier because Ali-Frazier I is the first fight I watched live on a movie theatre screen. After that, Ali. Need I say more?

Then I discovered Duran. Most of his fights were not on TV back then but I was fortunate enough to see him live at MSG NY against Adolfo Viruet. Instantly became a groupie. I rooted for Duran against SRL at Olympic Stadium in Montreal but Leonard became my favourite in the ensuing years. The skills were overwhelming.

Gatti for charisma, courage but mostly because I watched this kid and his brother Joe grow up in Montreal-Nord.

Then I thought Pernell Whitaker and Roy Jones jr would be my last ever favourite boxers until I discovered Mayweather jr at 130 lbs. I had become very attentive to skills.

Mayweather jr is currently my favourite boxer though he comes off as an arrogant ***** and a ****ing magoo.

Not old enough to have seen SRR in his time but he would have been my favourite for sure.

    Corrales.

    Gatti.

    Both had hearts of lions.

Julio Cesar Chavez, when he fought Mexico came to a standstill.

Hagler, record says it all, he was robbed in the SRL fight.

Valero, ****ing loved that man (no Manilow).

Thomas Hearns. He made people ugly, through his punches.

It's hard to pick a favourite.

Joe Louis. Just liked his style in & out of the ring.
In the ring - Technique, power in both hads, patients, composure, intelligence
Outside the ring - Dignity & class.
