ortiz is not fast he was making maidana look like he has good handspeed.

Whoretiz only has a slightly quick 1-2 or hes 4 notches below khan, floyd, pac and even timbo.

Some of the biggest draws in boxing had losses on their records. Undefeated doesnt mean **** in terms of ppv buys unless you have a following, or unless you're Floyd. :yep

I doubt it. Ortiz may not be the brightest bulb in the entire drawer but he has a certain charisma to him that Berto never had and never will have, I'd guess. Floyd and Ortiz combined, we have a fight between two popular fighters (one obviously a superstar) who are articulate, and seem to both like to play a role. Ortiz, imo, is eating this **** up, from what I've seen. This should sell very, very well. Although had Berto won, the 0 vs 0 angle would've brought in some nice money too. Floyd may've made Andre cry at some point before the fight, leading to a drop in sales, save for the slight increase in the types that would've shelled it out to be right there in the cell when Adebisi was bumming Kenny. Anyway, what was the question? Oh, yeah, SNV would school FMJ but they'd both still be friends afterward.

I voted poorly, but I think thats a bad choice of words. I dont think it would have done poor, just not as good as Ortiz. Yes, it would be a battle of undefeateds. But with Ortiz, it is Age vs Youth, Legend vs Underdog, and Ortiz has not only a bigger fan base, but a very interesting story. The casual fan likes Ortiz much more than they like Berto. The casual fan would have been blinded by Berto's "0" and think that he had a chance against Mayweather, which is a good selling point. However, the casual fan sees Ortiz's story, his popularity, his personality, and everything that hes been though...people love rooting for the underdog, especially when they are fighting someone like Mayweather. It's like Rocky vs Apollo, except Mayweather is just too good. Ortiz is gonna get trashed.

That's why I didn't vote. I think it would've sold pretty well even if mostly off of Mayweather's back alone.

I would say poorly (not the correct wording, but it wouldn't do as well).

The Ortiz story has more legs to it, they can really make a big deal to it on 24-7 as part of the build up to increase the buys from casuals...

Other than an undefeated record, what would Berto bring to the table?

And as Floyd once put it prior to his fight with Marquez......"The man has a Country behind him....A Country!"
