You know as well as I do Mosley is pretty well known in SoCal. He may not have evern been a major draw, but he's still pretty known.

Reg, it's being built right now. His fight w/ Berto and HBO/GBP's promoting him is what's malking him into a potential draw. If you don't think Floyd chose him with his ethnicity in mind, then you are fooling yourself.

So you bought tickets to a Phillies game in February? Baseball season begins late March/early April and ends in October. So now we've established that you like to make things up.

So which is it? Does he sell well because he fights once a calender year, or because of his opponents fanbase. And the fight against Hatton did over 900k IN AMERICA. If Hatton's American fanbase is so big, why were none of his other fights on PPV in America?

Boxing is a brutal sport. If you're making 40M a fight, why the hell would you bother fighting 3 times a year?

Floyd has been out selling Pacquiao in terms of ppvs, so to think that had Floyd been fighting Clottey the night Pacquiao fought him that Floyd couldn't sell 700k is a wish. If Pac did it, Floyd could also.

The fight was in Vegas. Furthermore, Shane's fight against Mayorga was in So Cal. Less than 5k people showed up.

This is getting too good. Now Mayweather is picking opponents, because he thinks they will soon become mega stars. How come mega star Marquez could only muster less than 300k buys in his next fight after Mayweather?

:huh So Shane is not known in SoCal?

:patsch It's post like this why I throw insults at you. You take what posters say and twist it to mean what you want in your own smug manner. You are just trying TOO HARD and only seeing **** in black and white.

So no, I never said Floyd id picking guys who will be mega stars. I said he picked Ortiz for a good reason, his ethnicity being a part of it. Or did you think he was fighting a Mexican on a Mexican holiday was ALL a coincidence?

But hey, blizz and bballchump will be here to tell you you are right, and I am wrong....you have that at least...

Different audience. People will tune in to see Pac regardless due to his fan friendly exciting style.

People want to see Floyd lose, therefore Floyd needs to fight someone who the boxing public and casual fan actually think has a shot at beating him. At this stage he cant just fight joe nobody and expect 1mil+ buys. He needs a guy with big following or someone who looks like they have a legitimate shot at beating him.

Do you think GBP is stacking this undercard for no reason? They're using Floyd star power in accordance with the Mexican Holiday in order to maximize sales.

Tyson vs Peter McNeely: 1.55 million ppv buys.

Now THAT is what you call drawing power. When you can fight a guy like Peter fkn Mcneely and draw 1.55m buys on your name alone! :deal

People tuned in to watch Floyd fight JMM, a fight everyone assumed Floyd would win, and he still sold 1 mil buys. Peep JMM's ppv that he did by himself, and not with Pacquiao or Barrera, and ask me where his fanbase is at. Undercards are supposed to be stacked when you pay $50.00 for a fight.

People will pay just to see Floyd lose, and people love to watch Floyd fight which is why his ppvs do well.

Yes. A fight that was postponed do to poor sales and was moved to Mexican Independence Day. :good

Floyd Mayweather a boxing superstar vs JMM a very popular Mexican boxer on Mexican Independence Day = A succesfull ppv.

Imagine a prime Tyson right now with the countdowns and the 24/7 shows.

He would be even bigger than he was.

It's always something, some excuse or someone else when it comes to Floyd accomplishing something lmao. And you guys wonder why Floyds fans are always on the attack lmao, and you guys are surprised that Floyds fans don't take what you guys say point blank and agree.

With the exception of Dlh, and Floyd played a big part in their record ppv, Floyd has been the Batman of selling ppvs with every last opponent he's faced on ppv, and everyone else has been Robin.
