No, wlad has a superior resume to norton. Isn't as top heavy but it's much deeper. However, vitali doesn't.
But really, most boxing fans dont know no better. If the amercian sports writers say Garcia was great, most fans believe it, even tho he was 40/50 pounds overweight, knocked out in one or two rounds by super bums and never beat anybody outside of Norton. It's actually funny!

Vitali was beating Lewis before the cut and Lewis ducked a rematch. So thats two fights the ATG Lewis couldn't beat Vitali. As for Young, Gomez was proven as good as Jimmy ever was. Quarry was just a shadow of what he was. And I think (I may be wrong) Norton was his last fight before he retired the first time. So Shannon Briggs would be very comparable to Quarry. And like I said, Too even hold up Garcia as a good win is a joke! I really cant think of anybody Vitali fought that was as bad as him. Zanon I don't believe he ever beat a named fighter his whole career. So any one of Vitali's opponenets would beat a record like that. Bobick? so you're list is lewis lewis gomez briggs noone anyone don't know so in conclusion you believe that being stopped off lewis is vitali's best victory, lewis retiring is vitali's second best victory, gomez is vitali's 3rd, briggs is vitali's 4th and after that you struggle for names? i'll just reming you that norton beat ali either side of stoppage victories over foreman and frazier. lewis stopped vitali in his last ever fight.

these so called viatli fans in theboss and bubby have failed miserbaly at addressing the issue so I'll attempt to answer it for them. IMO vitali's best 7 victories are: peter sanders kirk johnson arreloa donald solis hide if we are to include his impressive losing effort's to byrd and lewis then I'd also include norton's impressive losing efforts to ali (2nd fight) and holmes. so then we have a resume of a top 9, looking like vitali: lewis (lost tko), byrd (lost tko), peter, sanders, kirk johnson, arreola, donald, solis, hide against norton: ali, ali, ali (lost points), holmes (lost points), young, quarry, garcia, zanon, bobick. it genuinely isn't even close. norton is clearly superior resume wise. now that that's over let's go back to the op. 50/50, neither have the tools that defeated the other (norton lost to an atg jab or brutal power, vitali lost to a freak injury and a great boxer puncher), neither have come across the other styles (norton has never faced a 6'5 volume puncher, vitali ha never faced a crab like cross defence who slips, goes to the body and lands wild overhand rights). this would be a great fight, norton has proved he can go 15 rounds, but he has also been known to take rounds off. vitali has generally dominated until his shoulder tore or he came up against lewis. the style clash would be brilliant. norton would land that right hand imo, but i think vitali's volume would trouble norton. can't picke a winner, so i go for the guy who twice beat ali.

Did you not read the post? I gave vitali credit for his performances against lewis and byrd. No, in my dream world vitali never gets injured in 04. You see I rate vitali much much higher than you do, I just recognise his resume doesn't live up to the immense potential he showed.
