I think the key to beating McDonnell is to stick to your gamplan and still be in there and strong at the end.

He's improved out of sight since getting that BS verdict over Napa, but essentially his style hasn't changed.

Throw lots of bombs and when he gets hit just fire back with more. Work the body and look to catch him with the uppercut on the way in, with either hand..... maybe the left would work better actually.

I'm sticking to my guns. K9 and Arron won't ever fight but I think he'd beat him fighting tall. I also feel Arron would beat up Cintron. But would get toasted by Molina. I think Jamie is the weak link of my controversial statement as I can see how to beat him by watching 3 fights.

Miguel Canto has the greatest defensive footwork in flyweight history.

Ayub Kalule has the greatest footwork in general at 154lbs ever.

Ray Robinson is not the greatest p4p ever and at 168 would be sparked the **** out by prime RJJ

    :huh

Who is the greatest P4P ever then? I don't think Robbo was either, but he's top five and certainly far more accomplished than Roy (pick him at your own peril ;-))

Roy is gonna' spark a guy that was never sparked? At 168, Jones wins a decision, and a wide one.

Why pick a division that didn't even exist in Rays time? Why not pick one where he was arguably at his best, and Roy was still phenomenal?

Just an odd statement rather than a controversial one IMO :good

Nothing controversial, but anyone know any good Luis Manuel Rodriguez fights that should be watched?

I was talking to Greg about him in the lounge a while ago but don't really know where to start.

i had kalambay winning by 2 rounds, i didnt see the controversy the fight was close. i think the michael nunn that showed up against kalambay was probably the best version of him throughout his career before and after that fight he was just scraping by, the nunn that showed up vs barkley would have gotten smoked by kalambay

I reckon you'd really like Jose Stable as well. Not in LMRs class (or anything like him), but a stylish fighter :good

Watch out for LMRs inside fighting :good

:good I'll be sure to check it out.

It all came about really when I was talking about Too Sharp Johnson in the lounge with Teeto, I was saying I know next to nothing on the sport pre-90's, and Greg just popped up out of nowhere telling me to watch Rodriguez.

That fight could of gone either way imo, it was razor thin. I wouldn't begrudge anyone who thought Kalambay won

Is thinking that the multitude of weight classes is NOT one of the major problems in boxing today a controversial statement?

    Yes.

I have a theory (which may or may not be controversial)

24 hour weigh ins and the potential to cut a lot of weight is what is harming fighters longevity nowadays.
