Maybe english isn't your first language so you could misunderstand things.

Just read the 9 names I put next to vitali in my final analysis.

 

I cannot believe I read this whole abortion of a thread. Overrating 70's heavyweights is like a disease that does not kill you, unfortunately!

Well, your not a full 70's zombie. I can only see Ali giving Vitali any trouble in the 70s...

 

Don't be ridiculous, i'm a klitschko hater (even tho I think wlad is a true atg heavy and I think vitali has shown the most promise in a heavyweight since tyson) I have an agenda for the 70's (even tho i'm a 23 year old white englishman) and I think garcia is the goat (even tho I never publicly expressed this opinion).

Prime Vitali (lewis-williams) would never be less than 40% chance of winning any fight in history imo.

 

It's hard to say. Vitali's quality of opposition is of such a poor level that there really isn't any definitive answers to the questions you need to know. How good of a boxer is he? How well does he adapt? Does he have a weakness to the left hook? Can he take a body punch? How good is his chin? How hard does he hit?

There are so many questions with very little evidence to say either way. My favourite fight of all times was a 70's heavyweight, Joe Frazier, and he was an awesome body puncher. As Vitali stands tall and Frazier bobs and weaves, given the height difference, it leads me to think that Vitali would take some punishing punches to the ribs. Why am I mentioning that? Because nobody knows how well Vitali could take that. Most tall, lean fighters don't take body punches too well so is Vitali the same? Is he different? We simply don't know, and because that's how I envisage the fight going, I can't make any decent prediction.

My gut feeling says he'd lose against the best from the 70's. I don't rate him technically and I question his heart. That said, he's not faced the type of quality needed to warrant him being put into fantasy fights with guys like Ali. There are just too many questions.

 

Frazier, imo is not in a favourable stylistic matchup against vitali. Yes he can bob and weave to avoid straight punches, but for the life of him he couldn't avoid foreman's hooks. Vitali can throw wide shots as well, not enough to blow frazier out, but enough to damage his face to the point of stoppage imo.

Big george I think gives vitali problems and would outgun him in a brilliant war.

Ali would give vitali all kinds of problems providing he didn't rely too much on making vitali miss against the ropes.

Holmes, wow that'd be a good fight but no way could vitali avoid larry's atg jab.

Norton again tough to call.

I don't think anyone beats vitali more than 6 out of 10.
