Idiot learn history, ortiz was jumping all over weight classes just to avoid Napoles, I'll give Gomez over any batam, not only Cuban, and Benitez will get his A$$ kick by any of these 3 WW, Gavilan, Napolez and Rodriguez.

No, it doesn't disprove the theory since Cuban amateurs, like Soviet-era amateurs, aren't exactly that. Plus the WBC isn't the best talent, many players stay off of those rosters, and it takes place when the US players are in spring training, giving others a major advantage (particularly teams like Japan who are in their season already). Teams like the Dominican Republic and Venezuela who have most/much of their talent in the MLB face that same disadvantage.

Sorry amigo but the Dominican Team was loaded with their best players and so did Venezuela. No excuses.

Sorry amigo but those players were coming off a break and used the WBC basically as spring training, unlike others. Not exactly prime form. Your nationalism is commendable but annoying.

Rigondeaux beats Wilfredo Gomez 10 times out of 10 in my opinion. No one has done what Rigo did in the amateurs and so far has shown in the pros that he is a Jackal for real. Punching power alone is not enough to deal with a slickster like Rigondeaux, I can see Rigo schooling Gomez if they ever fought. ;)

LMR is one of the all-time greats. Any list that doesn't have that guy well within the top 100 is a joke

Jesus, that kind of **** should get you to put him on your ignore list

Rigondeaux isn't fit to hold Wilfredo's jock. We're talking about one of the very best h2h fighters ever against somebody who hasn't done **** in the pros yet. Too funny

    Fair enough..you would know.

Though a couple of sources say it's only 10%. I would say all the current Cubans and LMR, Gavlian, Napoles and Chocolate would consider themselves pure black surely...they were all very dark.

Depends what mulattoes consider themselves I suppose.

¿ How many world Champions the Russians or ANY East European country had before 1969 ? NONE and ¿ How many Champs Cuba had ? 8 , ¿ What does this mean ? , it means that Boxing culture , tradition and KNOWLEDGE has been stablished in Cuba FOR A LONG TIME , the Russians started boxing in the 50's and it was amateur not pro , Germany , France and Italy have more of a boxing history than Russia , Germany had Max Schmeling , World HW Champ from the 30's who had two epic battles with the legend Joe Luis and France had a few Champs as well , not counting England of course that was at that time a powerhouse of Boxing . I'm sick and tired of hearing the same lie about the Russians teaching the Cubans to box , ALL THEY DID WAS GIVE US THE MONEY TO BUILD THE GYMS AND BUY THE GEAR ( Gloves , vests , headgear , etc ) nothing else , ALL the trainers were CUBAN , if anything they BENEFITED a great deal from that asociation , they learned new and advanced Boxing training techniques ( USA or Western techniques wich were used in Cuba at the time ) , etc . Once we started cooperating and TEACHING THEM the Western fighting tecniques they started IMPROVING and became Europe's no1 ranked Amateur Boxing nation , so stop spreading this lie that only Russians believe , nobody else does . Peace .
