Team Johnson states it is “significantly more than a million dollars less than the $1.35 million offer made to first potential opponent, Kelly Pavlik.” Johnson believes the Bute camp is not serious about fighting him. “I believe that they’re low-balling me very badly, mainly because they don’t want the fight to happen. So, a way to get out is to try to low-ball where they think we won’t accept it, instead of saying ‘we don’t want to fight Glen Johnson.’ I’ve been around long enough to know when somebody’s serious about an offer and I believe the fighter himself wants to compete but the promoter is afraid of stepping him up a level. They want to keep him safe. They don’t have the confidence in him they should have. He’s a good fighter. He should have a great fight and maybe he wins and maybe he loses, but he’s ready for that fight.”

Part of the problem, says Johnson, is that Bute’s team remembers how it went when the two sparred in training previously. “Bute knows the competition coming his way. I know he can compete well and he knows I can. We know each other and both of us know it’s not an easy fight. I think the promoter has to have a little more courage with their fighter. Don’t try to keep me from accepting by low-balling me.”

When will the Canadian fraud step the **** up?

It's getting laughable know. Bute's team is a joke.

Since when did Glen Johnson decline offers to fight FFS?

    Please.

Kessler didn't want it. Pavlik didn't want it. Apparently they reached out to Dirrell too.

A fight with Johnson means a lot less money than a Pavlik fight so Johnson will not get the same type of cash that Pav was offered.

Why don't you just chill and wait for a fight to be confirmed before getting your panties in a bunch?

They're offering Glencoffe $350.000 or less.

How can people keep supporting this fraud?

Oh wait, no.. I'm sorry, Glen should accept 350k or less, ofcourse..

And KESSLER, Pavlik and JOHNSON are all liars, obviously.:rofl

    "They're ducking Bute!!! :|"

Somehow I find Kessler,Pavlik and Johnson all more trustworthy than interbox and team Bute, they're low-balling all these men.

So offering Glen Johnson a whooping $350k or less isn't low-balling him?

    Come on man.... :patsch

I just think it's early in the negotiations and Johnson is leaking information that may or may not be completely accurate.

Pavlik leaked that Kessler was offered 3 mil and that turned out to be bull****.

Bute offering Kessler and Pavlik both more than a million was a valid attempt to make both of those fights. Do you agree?

What did Johnson get paid for the Froch fight?

this actually could be good way for Johnson to earn extra cash. Bute been getting lots of heat recently especially for low balling opponents. i think by doing this Johnson will earn more even at early stage of negotiations.

I wonder how much money Bute has made. He must be secured for a significant amount of time, right ?

I think if Bute makes a million, Johnson deserves 500-600K

Johnson makes it look like its not 350,000 but a lot less than that. Thats pretty low for this fight and I don't blame Johnson for balking. But, its still just Johnson's side of the story and it could simply be the first offer and they are prepared for Johnson's counter-offer. Too early to totally dump on Bute at this point.

Johnson seems to be in the driver's seat here. Bute's fight is suppose to be on Showtime and I doubt they are willing to accept a weak opponent. With guys like Pavlik and Kessler out, Abraham going to 160, Dirrell not on Showtime's good side, Ward-Froch facine each other, etc there aren't a lof of options besides guys that aren't well known like Anthony Dirrell, Pirog, Edwin Rodriguez, etc. Johnson is one of, if not the only, bigger names available that Showtime would approve. He's going to play hardball here since he's about the only option out there.

Heard a catchweight fight with Cloud is the alternative to Road Warrior...

    Let's hope for Cloud.
