The HW division: What has changed?

Eastern europeans have always won a good number of medals in amateur boxing, and since when is amateur boxing an indication of exactly how you would do in the pro game? Getting desperate are we? :rofl There is also this thing called catching up.

Will you give credit to Vitali when he beats Adamek BTW, or will you just call him a blown-up cruiserweight and say it means nothing then?

 

lol, "won a good number of medals" lol . . . ahahahahaa funny stuff. there is no exact corrolation between success as an amatuer as to how well you will do as a pro, but it is a great indication on how well someone could do. if easter europeans where so good they would have been winnng the most gold medals. but from what i can rememeber until Bowe it was the USA (and cuba to some extent) who dominated. I agree there has been an advancement in robtics over that time frame but it really didnt translate into the ring.

Regardless on why it happened the american amateur system has collapsed and there really is no sign that everyone else has gotten better.
