Jonhson refuse between 1 million and 1,3 millions to face Bute

Yep, like I said, anything between 500-600k is reasonable and respectable.

It's hard to hate on the man since he's a warrior. But his value has gone down a lot since those fights.

The only time he made more than 1M$ was against Tarver and that was right after knocking out Roy Jones.

Since then he lost 2 times to Dawson, lost to Clinton Woods, lost to Cloud and finally lost to Froch.

He doesn't have much of a name and he is in his 40s. 500k $ is the most he should get IMO.

Johnson was paid between 12 000 and 15 000 for the Yusaf Mack fight. Mack's not Bute and the fight was on ESPN, but I can't find his fight purses since he's made 1M against Tarver. Though, if he fought Froch for around 300 000, I dunno how's that a low ball. Anyhow, it's kinda understandable for him to want more since his career's certainly over if he loses against Bute.

I'm waiting to see how the negotiations go though.

 

Bull ****. Johnson has never been dominated in years. He proved he's world class when he beat Dawson and got robbed. This is why I give respect to Froch who also had it all to lose but took the fight anyway. Johnson fights everyone. The offer is a joke, do you really think Johnson got less than 1 million for the Tarver fight (another top south paw Johnson beat).

 

I don't believe this is a legit offer. It smells like a stall tactic.

He is getting less than 350,000$ for this fight. He is not getting anything close to a million. It is stated clearly on the website. I have no idea how anyone can misread it.
