Badlok, edit your thread title, man. It's misleading a lot of posters.

Pavlik was offered 1,3M$ to fight Bute. He was the one needing a tune up. Nothing to do with Bute's promoter. The two fights were not a package, like you try to make it. Bottom line: 1,3M$ for Pavlik today is a good offer.

In case you had not noticed, Pavlik promoter had accepted the deal. That's one of the dumbest posts of the day.

Kessler had also money from Showtime + all the TV rights in Denmark. That sums much more than 750K. Much more and that was the initial offer. Sauerland could have negociated to get more.

If Top rank ****s Pavlik, it is not Interbox, fault, is it? The offer for Pavlik-Bute wa 1,3M$.

Do you honestly think they'd sell PPV in Denmark at such differing time zones?

The TV rights are big if the fight is in Europe, if the fight is to take place in Canada its not overwhelmingly big, and 750k guaranteed for such a fight is ridiculous at this stage of Kesslers career. He can fight Stieglitz or Ward/Froch winner, seeing as he's Roberts mandatory and WBC emeritus, he has the right to fight for a big money fight with or without Bute.

Johnson said that he would be willing to accept 600 000 / 700 000 to fight Bute

''Little bit less than a half of what they offered Kelly Pavlik ( 1,35M) ''

    http://fighthype.com/pages/content10519.html

Obviously, I think that it's a pretty faire value.

It's just that your post was in a bunch where people were discussing Interbox offers. The fact that Pavlik receives almost nothing to face Cunningham has nothing to do with that. If you're talking from Pavlik's point of view, I agree on the 1,35M$ for 2 fights.

Interbox offer to Johnson is not fair. He said he would accept 700K? I would have offered him that amount right away.
