I was watching the last few round of Ortiz vs Peterson, and I noticed how Ortiz bends his knee and dips a little before throwing certain punches its more suddle then when PW does but is still one hell of a flaw. if Floyd is the Floyd of old post Mosely and still has his legs I expect him to give Ortiz the gatti treatment.

    What do ya think?

First minute of the highlights can you see it?

If Floyd still has his reflexes he'll be able to see most of Ortiz big punches coming, allowing him to land first and the get the **** out of the way and look Damn good doing it. That's what I mean by gatti treatment , both guys big punches are slightly telegraphed.

I think this may cause concern in team Manny

Manny: will still want the fight no problem

Roach would look to add another advantage/clause to the contract

Arum might try to make the Bradley fight instead or maybe not.

Khan will decide to wait an extra year before taking the Floyd fight

You cant miss Ortiz with a right hand even if you try to.

    And Floyd knows this.

Thats why he picked Ortiz for his come back fight.

I must be one of the few people here that thinks ortiz could give Floyd a tough fight, The lay offs at 34 vs a Guy that kd's all his opponents cant be good for you no matter who you are.

Hmm, not quite the Gatti treatment. I'm prety sure Ortiz will be able to land a few punches here and there. That being said, I do think this will be a one-sided affair that might likely end in a KO victory for Floyd considering Victor's shaky punch resistance.

I knew the moment I saw Floyd grinning ear to ear ringside that he was going to fight Ortiz next and in his mind he was licking his chops because he knew how easily he could dissect Victor's style.

Ortiz throws very short and straight powerpunches and his only hope in this fight is that maybe Floyd has slowed down enough with age so that he could get close and land those big power shots. But even then, I still believe Mayweather is skilled enough to survive and win a hard fought decision. When all is said and done, I simply don't believe Ortiz fights smart enough to beat a fighter of Floyd's caliber.

easy fight for floyd and won't be surprised if it happens. there's a reason why floyd himself called ortiz a tune-up.

Floyd Mayweather is not Roy Jones, his style isn't completely based on his athletic ability. All those who are saying that he's 34 now, he'll be slowing down, he may well be(doesn't look like it, but you never know), but the guy has solid fundamentals, Roy Jones never had a sholder roll, or great high guard to hide his chin behind, Floyd has, (defensive techniques that don't rely on speed) so even if the layoff does effect PBF's reactions, his fundamentals carry him through. Ortiz won't hurt him, he won't get the opening too.
