750k for a guy who's comming from a lost and isn't a big name is too much IMO. 500k would be fair but not less.

750k is a bit much, Pavlik still was a name that draw attention of the American boxing fans, proof to that is if you want the hundreds of replies in a short time made in that the thread with the news of him pulling out of the Bute fight.

I trust Kessler but not Sauerland. Unfortunately, he is the one deciding. Interbox looks like amateurs but they usually don't bull****. Well, they say nothing! Not sure if it's a good strategy from their part.

That doesn't give us the amount of the PPV in Denmark. That's the key to judge the offer.

Johnson isn't a star by any means but he has a name and is highly respected by fans. None of his losses post-Hopkins have been really one-sided (aside from maybe Dawson II) or the type to hurt him. Giving Froch and Cloud tough fights in defeat haven't hurt him at all imo.

$750 isn't huge money in the scheme of things and I think it's a fair amount for him to get.

I see. But your question was how much Kessler made for Ward.

PPV-numbers have not been disclosed. The only numbers available was from the Calzaghe fight and those are from court papers. I believe the number was between 17-18M DKK roughly 3½M USD.

600k should be enough.... maybe 700k the most.I don't even know if Interbox can afford that. Depends on how much cash the whole thing is gonna raise.
just to make and idea these are Bute's earnings:
    vs Alexandro Berrio - 200.000 $
    vs William Joppy - 700.000 $
    vs Librado Andrade - 700.000 $
    vs Fulgencio Zuniga - 500.000 $
    vs Librado Andrade - 908.000 $
    vs Edison Miranda - 700.000 $
    vs Jesse Brinkley - 1.000.000 $
    vs Brian Magee - 1.200.000 $

    Magee's purse was 250.000 $
    Mendy's purse was 150.000 $

If we put together the purses for the solo fight that we got them all.
Bute vs Magee has generated a total of 1.450.000 $.
How much money can a Johnson fight generate?

One thing is for sure, if the fight happen Bute should receive much more than Jonhson. He is the champion and the one who draw the spectators and generate the $, not Jonhson.

Google: Bute's expected to earn a purse of $1.2 million U.S., while Magee receives $250000 U.S., the highest purse of his career, along with British..

    Search it.
