I say Oscar. They both had crushing power at the lower weights (Shane at 135, Oscar from 130-140) and very good power at welterweight. I think Oscar carried more power to 154 though and his shots always seemed, to me, to have a little more snap to them.

I generally think Oscar had better technique, hence having more snap

But Mosley had greater punching power imo

Evens, though Shane never had a one punch KO power whilst Oscar did in his left hook.

    Oscar was the better boxer.

If Oscar had fought that Margarito, don't you think he could've stopped him too?

Even though I voted Oscar, I don't think there's much between them.

Oscar was always seen as the bigger puncher... only in the last few years did Shane become some huge puncher in the minds of many..

Oscar had genuine ko power in his left-hook and a terrific jab to set it up. With his technique and accuracy, he wouldn't have any trouble landing his power-shots on Margo, who never had much in the way of defence.

I don't care how good your chin is, if you let a puncher repeatedly tee-off on you, eventually you're going down.

Oscars single left hook may just be a smidge more powerful than any single shot Mosley could throw.... but Shane overall had much hard punches. A considerably better right hand and upper cut. Shane was the more fearsome puncher.

Shane hit slightly harder, and is the better fighter IMO. I know Oscars a great champion and I respect what he has done, but I feel his early accomplishments were slighty propped up higher then they should have been. When you think about it, after he lost to Trinidad in 1999, he lost every super fight he was in.

    Oscar of course.

It took Shane 2 fights to KO Vargas. It took Oscar 11 rounds. It took Shane 12 rounds to KO Mayorga. It took Oscar 6.
