The interest for this fight has definitely dropped off over the past several months. No doubt that the PPV numbers would still be prety high if it does take place within the next year, but it won't be quite as big as it would've been.

The fight itself probably won't be as fresh and lively either considering that both guys will be a couple of years older. And at 30+ a couple of extra years can make a big difference.

Same if not higher. Don't be so into the "the interest dropped "or something along those lines. It'll be blasphemy for boxing fans to miss out on this one.

Mayweather promotions + golden boy and top rank? No way in hell this does less than 2m

Maybe to hardocre boxing fans but certainly not to the mainstream Joe who doesn't watch boxing. The mainstream Joe is the guy the two year of hype, rumours and whatnot will eventually get to buy the fight.

The promoters are not satisfied with May-Pac being just a hardcore fan reunion, they want it to be a mass popular event.

Both these fighters are pulling in a million+ PPV buys without fighting each other.

when Floyd fought Oscar one was a 900k ppv star and the other a 300k star and they still done 2.44 million together

So I expect a Floyd v Manny fight to pull in 3.5 million +

It'll probably still narowly beat the PPV record set by the ODLH v Mayweather fight but it felt like it was a bigger potential event after the Pacquiao v Cotto fight. I think people are just so sick of all the BS around getting the fight to happen at this post (well unless you're a hardcore ***** or ******* - they both thrive on all the stupid gossip around it).

Pac's popularity is keeping this fight alive. Pac has actually gotten more famous now, and thanks to Pac he is carrying the buzz for this fight.

Not a fan of sounding corny, but it really is just another case of all roads lead to Floyd Mayweather.

I think this fight is peaking soon...I DO NOT THINK THE HYPE HAS PEAKED THOUGH..

I say it does slightly better numbers after Floyd-Ortiz and Pac-Marquez...

more than the oscar/floyd fight that did 2.4 million

the hype hasn't died down maybe to hardcore boxing fans but not casual fans.

casual fans will still buy this fight on ppv.
