I don't want to compare with the Calzaghe fight because the fight was in Europe and the PPV numbers were higher than it would be in the middle of the night.

I don't blame him. Johnson is old, a threat & not exactly a superstar. Bute probably doesn't want to fight him at all. He could lose which ruins the big fights he might have coming up.

    He does. Obviously.

Oh yeah & certain business people. Bute could possibly become a star. If Johnson beats Bute he can't really be made into a star.

Bute is a ducker. It's called 'promotion' fools! David Haye did the same **** and you fell for it. Bute is doing the same **** now and you're still falling for it!!

It's easy to look great......vs bums.

In all fairness, interbox should have offered the purse they were giving
to pavlik to johnson, and here's why. Johnson has been actively fighting
the very top in opposition in and around his weightclass in main events
on major networks for a long tim now. He's never in a bad fight and the fights are close. He, whether or not he's the headliner, is a world renowned fighter. Pavlik, on the other hand, has done DICK in a long time.
At this point johnson deserved at least the same purse as kelly, and the win for team bute honestly would've meant more than the pavlik win seeing as johnson just fought froch in a good close fight. That could've
gauged where bute stood h2h with the other SMW's whereas kelly looked
lackluster against a nobody at 168. Johnson's right, interbox doesn't have
    faith in the guy.

WTF does johnson's wins or losses have to do with interbox lowballing him
dodo? Johnson has more marketabilty than he had 5-6 years ago. He's
a MAJOR step up for Bute and a gauge for the fans to really know where
bute stands. Bute NEEDS this fight more than johnson needs it. So, why
    should glen fight for free?

The funny thin is, Glen Johnson is not even a dangerous fight anymore. He's just a tough 42 year old man who will bang out a couple rounds, but not enough to win.
