Sudo's flying triangle is great, I counted 2 subs from it in the last video, but Shinya to me looks stronger on the ground, he takes his time and works the submissions.

 

There were four attempts at flying triangles, at least two of them got the tap, one was dubious because there's a cut in the video. There was also a flying calf crush which was amazing.

There is no way in this realm or any other that Aoki has better ground than Sudo.

 

No, I'm just not overly nostalgic or biased. Sudo was one of my favourite fighters back in the day, and overall he was the more skilled, exciting operator than Aoki. On the ground that simply isn't the case, as good as Sudo was there.
