wlad is no where near as talented as lewis. not even close.

 

Wlad has better foot speed, better hand speed is better conditioned and is more respectful to the sport. In addition has better defense. Wlad has had a longer reign, more defenses and still has years ahead of him.

lewis had a better uppercut and a better chin (slightly) and can rough house more, better inside game.

Id say wlad is more talented and if he keeps it up a few more years and racks up 20 title defenses he will clearly be the more talented and greater fighter.

Lewis strikes me as a guy who loves to fight whereas Wlad strikes me as a guy who loves the athletic aspect of the sport.

As much as Lennox played chess, he was more versatile in his attacks and could be lured into a brawl...He could force the action or play off of his opponent.

Wlad is more cautious and one diminsional but, his attack is more sustained and deliberate. He is growing as a fighter though quickly. The only way he over-takes Lewis on the atg list is if he learns to counterpunch, I'm not sure he has this in him though...We'll see...

Manny knows how to get into the psyche of his fighters, I don't place much stock in what he says about a guy he is currently training...
