I didn't see it, how did Jim Gray rip into him? I'd love to hear it

I've never seen anything like this. Move over Andrew Golota because Abner Mares just shattered your legend.

if a point was deducted in the 11th round.. the outcome of the 12th round will be different.. coz both fighters need to win the last rd..

While a rematch would be great, it's certainly not enough in this case.

Has any fight ever simply been erased from the books? This one should be.

I'm glad I couldn't witness this tragedy, thanks to a drunken friend sitting on our cable box. Thanks for the RBR, Butt.

I wouldnt agree with that. A couple of those replays showed Mares clearly on the belt line. Did he go low> yes more than once. I could see 1, even 2 points taken away. With that the fight was still close.

Mares landed the harder shots, did 3x better bodywork, and was a better combination puncher.

    IMO mares was under conditioned.

Agbeko should drag that ref into court. The tape will speak for itself...

All Mares's hard body work was low, cut the BS out.

I agree Mares faded late, but he did win the 12th rd.

But saying that KK landed better body work is simply wrong, Mares did 3x better body work and to claim otherwise would be simply wrong.

This just in: The ref has a history of habitually strapping his belt over his dick.

Interesting. You seem to be in the minority, and have Mares looking pretty good despite the low blows and the ref. I'm going to have to watch this fight when I get a chance.

Half at least. When you throw both hands and both punches land low, it is intentional. When you throw double left hooks and both of them land low, it is intentional.

the tape doesn't lie, and within a few days there will be a sequel...
