You don't think the NUMEROUS low blows landed had any affect on AGBEKO's performance or stamina? Low blows are illegal for a very good reason. Take away bogus slip, the ridiculous KD ruling in the 11th, and an Agbeko who isn't getting nut scraped every 10 seconds, and I think chances are pretty good Abner loses.

Mares likely would have stopped going low had he a point taken away. Was it fixed? Poor reffing? Possibly one or both.

But we are forced to score it as the ref calls it.
115-111 is the correct score.

Most of Mares punches after the 5th round were shoes shines and nut punching. Nothing effective.


Agbekos jab was rocking Mares on his heels the whole night. I consider a ram rod jab superior to some nut punches and shoe shines.

Agbeko by the later rounds was actually putting his own left over his NUTS everytime Mares threw to try to block the **** it was happening so many times.

Yes I agree with you it had an effect. KK's stamina looked pretty decent for a guy who caught a lot of nut shots. He also took a lot of body shots. Guy has steel balls.

The first knockdown looked like a slip, i called it even before the replay, but a punch landed while he was off balance. It was a hook. Did it or his balance cause the knockdown? It was his balance but he went down and a punch landed hence the KD.

Dont forget Mares hurt Agbeko early. He did out work him and land the harder shots. IMO had the fight been reffed properly we'd be looking at a draw.

 

Its just hard for me a boxing fan to see things like this go down...boxing was getting fun again until the Lara decision and this atrocity...I wonder how teddy atlas would've reacted...

Agbeko far from home with the house full of the other dudes fans, he had to just be cool and let it ride to not get in trouble himself.
