They try to make a fight with him at 135, that is why Napoles went to JWW but Ortiz when back to LW again, listen there's a lot of articles about this, Ortiz didn't want to fight Napoles, period.

José Nápoles fought as Mexican, though...When the Mexican President offered him a house, a car or whatever for becoming World Champion he said he wanted nothing like that but the Mexican nationality. ;)

How do you not rate Duran in the top 5?

And what's the reasoning for Chavez being top 5? I think he's more of a lower end of the top 10 fighter.

Jose was avoided like the plague for sure...more so at 140 I would say though..When held decisive victories over both men who held the belts around the time.

But if you are going to give people **** about not getting their facts right, you would be best advised to get your own right first.

Ortiz had won, defended and lost his JWW crown before Napoles had even made it out of Cuba.
You were clearly trying to insinuate that Ortiz moved back down to lightweight in an effort to avoid Napoles who was moving up ..which just didn't happen.

Now as for Ortiz steering clear of Jose when both were at lightweight...thats a different story. Though Carlos certainly can't be faulted for weak opposition at the weight.

I was not trying to insinuate, I'm pretty sure that is what happened, if a guy is calling you out and is trying to make a fight and you don't do $hit, then it is very clear that he is avoiding the guy.
PS. You are right about the JWW situation, he won the JWW tittle and loss to Loi twice, then he got down to LW, at that time Napoles was a FW-JLW, at the beginning of the 60's is when Napoles started to campaign in the Lw division, but even though I was chronologically wrong, you have to admit that Ortiz didn't want any part of Napoles, just ask him.

No disrespect to Cubans. As a Puerto Rican/Dominican my people own Cubans alot. PR also took they're flag and what not, but Cubans don't run ****. Castro simply doesn't let it happen.

Before you could probably got have have they were the best Olympic boxers of all time, but even that was a long time ago.

Cuba has a population of 11 mill ffs, are you kidding me. Considering how small the Caribbean is they produce better fighters than Mexico.
