Now, I don't have years and years of watching boxing week after week, but I gotta say this might be one of the worst years I can remember with this many "controversies, robberies, gifts, etc." Specifically, these past 4-6 months, it's taking it to a whole 'nother level in ****.

Ok cn sum1 pls explain the difference between a Split Decision and a Majority Decision to me?

 

Split decision is where two judges favour one fighter, and the third judge favours the other one.

Majority decision is where two judges favour one fighter and the third judge has an even scorecard. (or when one judge has a fighter winning but the other two score it a draw, which is a majority draw)

 

Damnit all!! I freaking fell asleep before the fight started. Was it as bad as people makes it out to be? Or did Mares really win, and the hate is just because of the ref?

 

I had Mares winning 115-112

But the 1st knockdown probably wasn't legit so that makes it 115-113

The Second knockdown definatley wasn't legit so I gave it to Mares 10-9 when it should of been Agbeko 10-9 so that would be 114-114

And Mares should of been deducted at least one point so it fairness it should of been Agbeko 114-113

(there is some debate about 1st knockdown and Agbeko was punched but seemed to be slipping to begin with)
