the same foreman who said he was **** scared of frazier before his fight and was shaking all over. didn't look like it once the fight started. the same foreman who said he didn't want to fight ken norton. i think foreman just likes to be nice to opponents years after. at that time he thought he was unbeatable against any of them ali, quarry whoever.

Only in the '79-'82 timeframe, as an ametuer, with Atlas as his trainer.

    Great clip, thanks for posting.

"I'm thinking, Jerry Quarry was the best counter-puncher in my division, he was probably the only one that i intentionally avoided when i became the Heavyweight Champion of the World." ~ George Foreman.

Frazier had nothing against Quarry. It was Norton who didnt like him.

With this post, you have pretty much made a fool of yourself with your lack of boxing knowledge. Quarry was not "slow", Quarry was "a big puncher". You state state that "Quarry was probably a racist", where did you get that from?

Remember, it is better to be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Norton thought something negative about Quarry when they fought and later learned it was unfounded.

  10. Quarry was a big puncher? Why? Because he is white? Who did he knock out besides glass chin Shavers? Fought So called glass chin Norton and couldnt stop him. Fought Frazier 2 times and never was able to put him down. Lewis is a big puncher, Foreman is a big puncher. Shavers wasnt slow? Oh that is why Frazier beat the **** out of him 2 times. Yet Frazier could barely land a hand on the so called slow Foreman.

Quarry is similar to Marciano. They are only known because they are white end of story

Total nonsense that Quarry and his camp "definitely underestimated" Frazier before their first matchup.

Quarry KNEW he was in for the fight of his life on 6/23/69.

Next I guess it will be Ali and camp underestimating Frazier before the FOTC, right?

Frazier would have ultimately forced Quarry to take a stand and fight, even if he had initially tried the counter-punching style.

The only way Quarry is not forced into fighting is if he tried some sort of stick and move bull****---which was not in his tool bag.
