Which of the current p4p top 10 fighters will make the hall of fame

    The Ring Magazines top 10 p4p fighters are as follows:

    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Sergio Martinez
    3. Nonito Donaire
    4. Juan Manual Marquez
    5. Wladimir Klitschko
    6. Tim Bradley
    7. Pongsalkek Wonjongkam
    8. Giovanni Segura
    9. Andre Ward
    10. Bernard Hopkins

    Which ones are going to end up in the IBHOF?

    My take: Pacquiao, Marquez and Hopkins are already 1st ballot hall of famers without question.

    Wonjongkam is most likely to. I would imagine following his dominance of the heavyweight divison that Klitschko will be joining them.

    The other five:
    Martinez- probably not done enough yet- remember he only shot to prominance last year and may not be able to land enough big fights to get it so I'm edging towards no.

    Donaire- If he gets more active he's gonna dominate the little guys for years to come. I can't see anyone below lightweight at the moment giving him much trouble (less Gamboa, but i'd still favour Nonito).

    Bradley- Doubtful. Not a big attraction and I don't rate him too highly I think he loses to Khan, Guerrero, Mattheyse and even Maidana. Verdict- no

    Segura- Only has the 2 wins over Calderon that was big wins thus far. If he can get big fights with the likes of Roman Gonzalzez, Wonjonkam and Hernan Marquez (all of which I'd favour Segura) then maybe, but I doubt he will get those big fights- no

    Ward- On the one hand winning the super 6 would be good and may merit entry on it's own, especially if its followed by a win over Bute. However it is within the realms of possibility that he may get found out against Froch. I'm gonna say he wins the super 6 and beats Bute, with a few more big wins in his carrer so I'm gonna go out on a limp and say yes

    Bradley a strong possibility but not a sure bet. Ward for sure. Hopkins for sure.


    The other guys I barely know who they are so how could they make the hall of fame?

    Bradley, segura and likely Donaire dont go. People are all hyped on Donaire and he still has a lot of time to make it. But right now, he doesnt fight frequently enough for me.

    After Ward beats Froch and then Bute and reigns in some more titles he will go down as the best 168 ever.

    Pacquiao, Marquez and Hopkins are all certain to make it.

    Wonjongkam and Wlad will both probably make it thanks to their long periods of dominance, rather than having racked-up a lot of victories over top-quality opponents.

    Donaire undoubtedly has the talent - if he gets the big fights over the next few years he should be able to stake a strong claim.

    Martinez needs a few more big wins to have a chance. Whether he moves to 168 or tries to wait for all the young talent at 160 to develop will be interesting. With his style, relying a lot on speed and athleticism, the clock is ticking.

    Segura? Not sure. He'd need to run through the top guys at 108-115. Don't think so but we'll see.

    Don't think Bradley's good enough tbh.

    If Ward beats Froch and Bute, he'll be well on his way.

    Probably because you don't pay much attention to the smaller guys but it's big in the far east but Wongjongkam is much more of a lock than Martinez, Donaire, Ward and Bradley at this stage.

    Hopkins, Pacquiao, Marquez, Klitschko and Wonjongkam could retire today and make their way to the HOF.

    Donaire will make it without a doubt, in my opinion. The guy is truely gifted. Ward is another guy who'll have a good enough career. He's already fighting like a 12 years veteran. I see him having a loooooong career, winning enough big fights to get in.

    OUT

    I'm not sure on Sergio (my favorite fighter at the moment). He's getting older and he'll need some big wins soon. I don't see at the moment who's available and would help his legacy. I think he came at the top too late, but could be wrong.

    Bradley will have troubles in the higher weight division and his name will fade in the next few years. Solid fighter,tough.

    I don't know enough of Segura to make an opinion. I'll add that to my to-do list.

    I voted for all of them. Pacquiao, Martinez, Hopkins, Marquez, Klitschko, and Wongjongkam would all probably get in if they retired right now. Bradley, Ward, Segura, and Donaire will most likely get in before they retire. (Donaire would probably get in if he retired now as well, but he's not a sure lock. Especially given he's a three-weight world champion)

    PBF, PAC, both K2, Martinez, Bute, Khan, Marquez and BHOP are all shoeins for the HALL.

    All of them except possibly Segura. Segura may not be a force when he steps up in weight. We'll see. All the others have had an impact. Wonjongkam may be a tad obscure for the Americans voting for the inducteees, but I think he'll get in eventually.

    He'll be a shoe-in. Most boxing fans well-versed in the sport have a huge amount of respect for Wongjongkam.
