Im not saying it will happen but anythings possible, just wondering if there would be an immediate rematch seeming as the whole point of this tournament is supposed to declare some sort of winner
Thats what happened with Showtimes original tourney and we never got a rematch in that one. Just another reason why tourney are a stupid idea in boxing.
Ill make sure to have an ambulance on standby :deal But seriously come on, Ward dropped rounds to Abraham and Bika and Froch is considerably better than both of them. Plus i have a sixth sense that Ward is going to be put on his ass at some point in the fight.
Good sense. :good:good IDK though. I think Froch is likely to be robbed in this fight no matter how many KDs he scores. Just got that feeling.:rofl
Impossible. The fight is in America. If the fight is close by any stretch of the imagination, Ward will win. There will be two judges instructed to score the fight for Ward if it's close, with the third judge left to just score it as he sees it. Ward is an undefeated champion who can generate huge money in the future, especially against the other undefeated Bute. There is no way the Americans will send all that money over to England.
If Froch Ko's ward I will be ok with that, well not really but I can accept it. If ward loses a decision and doesnt touch the canvas please dont call the ambulance I have a do not resuscitate order for this fight.
Are you serious? This tourney has been the best thing that has happened to boxing and we see quality boxers fighting each other. Or would you rather see quality boxers fight a string of bums instead? atsch
You remind me of my friend who supports arsenal and goes on blind faith in all honesty, YELLOW CARD! RED CARD! PURPLE CARD! LIFETIME BAN! :rofl But seriously Ward was lazy in the opening rounds against Abraham and Bika won a considerable amount of rounds too despite the Oakland judges. Hopefully they do the decent thing and have 1 British judge, 1 American and 1 that preferably isnt Japanese coming from Frochs last fight I can see it being a possibilty in all honesty, A draw could happen
See, you miss the point. We shouldn't have to have this tourney to see top fighters fight each other. Thats not the issue. The tourney format just doesn't work in boxing. It never has. Of course I've enjoyed most of the fights but waiting a few years for a tourney to play out and watching fighter after fighter drop out of the thing when the going got too tough was a little much for my taste. We had guys who never fought at SMW in the tourney, MWS and LHWs. The tourney itself was a fail. I'm amazed that 2 original participants are in the final.
If the fight was a draw, This content is protected as he has more points than Froch. Remember Ward was also given a couple of points for not fighting when Dirrell pulled out.
"What if Froch Ward ends in a draw?" Depending on how quickly Ward comes round, presumably they'd help him to his feet and read the result out then Max Kellerman would ask him if he felt it was a fair decision from his hospital bed
