The HW division: What has changed?

I think what has changed is the size of the opponents now, the most dominant hws recently have been 6'5"+ and 240lbs, I think america has only really produced one exceptional boxer this size, riddick bowe.

 

your list proves my point a useless lot! Man, top 50 cab you name 50 fulltime fighters today? the 23-4 "boxers" (a term i use lightly) all of which would eat up and spit out in anytime frame . . . skilless and/or talentless bums (except for the bros and Adamek . . . who has great potential)

Jack johnson era ****? with Johnson and Langford alone more double the skill and talent of the top 10 of this garbage era!

 

are you actually suggesting a 5'6" 185lb boxer who started boxing at lightweight from 100 years ago would be capable of beating a top modern heavyweight?

 

Fact is that the Johnson era was not that bad . . . two ATG (real ATG) in the same era! cannot be that weak

the klitschkos will, sam langford is an ATG but only because he was boxing in a time when heavyweights were a lot worse than they are now.

Johnsons technique was abysmal, if he fought for a title today no doubt 90% of this board would call him one of the worst title challengers ever.
