But actually on a slightly more serious note, the one memorable experience I have on this subject is that my first live fight was Khan v Barrera. I was really excited, looking forward to my first live fight; me and my girlfriend were in the queue waiting to get into the M.E.N. A group of four or five Asian guys were behind us one heard us talking and said "So who are you two supporting then mate?"
Me: "Well Amir Khan, obviously!"
Guy 1: "But you're not Asian"
Guy 2: "Yeah but Amir is 'British' isn't he?"
Guy 1: "Yeah but they're white aren't they!"

Thing about khan is sometimes hes just not likable ,some times he is .Ill give you some examples

When he lost to prescott ,i was in the arena that night and did cheer ? why ,not because of his skin colour but because he had no rigth to demand that fight to be on ppv ...it was well documnted atthat stage the only way ****** could sign him was if his fights were on a ppv basis ...also up to that point he hadent fougth anyone of any calaber and i was sick of hearing him proclaim how brilliant was ... sorry but i thought that ight was a wake up call Bad Khan

I know for a fact he has set upa gym and opend the dorrs to local kids and given them ainternet access and access to the facilities ,the money he charges is pennies and this is good way to keep kids of the street ... i think this is excellent and shows what a nice guy he is Good Khan

earlier this year khan also had soem sort of amatuer boxing tournament in the bolton stadium .entry was free and all the secuirty was paid out of his pocket,i know a coach from up at fort william who went down for htis and khan also paid for them to have a box in the reebok for a game ,i eman how much would that have cost and for himto foot the bill ? amazing Good Khan

His comments after he lost to McCloskey ,the way he spoke about how mccloskey was fighting and he wwas overcoming him etc ...that was just rediclious and left a bad taste in my miout if im honest,it just shows he needs to think about waht he is saying before he says it Bad Khan

As for the race,i dont see him paying tribute to his roots in ****stan any diffrence from Matt Macklin declaring himself Irish ,dont see the problem tbh ..Kahn is isn a diffcult postion as a high profile muslim ...in the current climate there nto exatly flavour of the month in some circles and to see him drape himself in Union flags demonstrates to me he uis comfterable being british and really that is all that matters to me ...

 

Khan did take a lot of abuse for losing to Prescott. Religion and or race may have been the motivation for a good number, however, vast majority hated him for other reasons such as going PPV before being PPV worthy. Kashmiri you do make some good points but some ridiculous ones too.

I didn't have any problem with those comments. He said nothing worse than McCloskey anyway.
