How about we talk about the Fact that the CEO of the USADA Travis Tagert was a lawyer for the corrupt USOC when the were exposed by Dr. Wade Exum. The US have by far the greatest number of cheats in All sports. Pointing the finger has become part of the American defense. Blame the rest of the world to take the heat off us.

Hello one and all..... not often I post over here, I tend to stick to the British section and the lounge.

I've been reading the posts of a few Floyd fans, in response to criticism that he's not faced the best fighters at welterweight since he moved up six years ago.

They generally consisted of ''STFU *******'' or ''Floyd doesn't have to fight the best fighters because he'd beat them anyway''

So..... I thought I'd debate the point.

    Compare their respective resumes.....

    Mayweather

    Mitchell
    Judah
    Baldomir
    Hatton
    Marquez
    Mosley

    Pacquiao

    DLH
    Cotto
    Clottey
    Margarito
    Mosley

    :think

To me, it's pretty clear that Pacquiao has the edge, with two very convincing victories over men whom Mayweather didn't want to fight, to the point of ''retiring'' twice.

Even looking at their next fights, Pacquiao is facing the #2 fighter in the world, whereas Floyd is facing a man who barely got by overrated Berto, drew with Peterson and quit against Maidana.

    All rational views welcome :good

    :hi:

Other than Oscar, none of them were starved. And just because a fighter has lost before, it doesn't immediately disqualify them from being a decent opponent (e.g. Zab Judah).

Floyd's "welterweight" resume consists about 1 or 2 actual welterweights. The rest are career 140 pounders, including his upcoming fight with Ortiz.

Floyd was always scared of fighting the bigger welters like Cotto, younger Shane, Paul Williams, Margarito, etc. that's why he retired.

Everybody on Pacquiao's resume is a true welterweight. Pacquiao is a career featherweight and he fought all of the top welters out there. He beat DLH, Hatton, and Cotto within a span of two years of moving up to welter. Floyd has been a welter for over 5 years, and the only legitimate welter he fought was Mosley, who was old as hell.

There's no comparison of who has a better resume at welterweight. Floyd's is all smoke and mirrors.

  12. Judah is the only one on Mayweathers list.

    Pacquaio:

    Clottey lost before
Mosley lost before and Drew with Mora
Cotto won a SD before to Clottey (arguably)
    Margarito...

not to mention that pacquiao did it all in only 2.5 years and still has the better welter resume. floyd was already a welterweight since 2005. pacquiao had just entered the welter division just in 2009.
