Even though he lost the fight and came in somewhat over ideal weight, take a look at Tua in the highlights as he breaks Barrett's jaw with massive punching power. Tua almost won. Take a look-

Tua didn't throw a punch in the first 10 rounds and was soundly outboxed.

Tua started throwing bombs in Round 6 or so - gradually more and more and more.

The first 10 rounds where Tua threw brutal face at all of Barrett's punches was good too.

Tua is a huge puncher - not a "boxer".

He came in overweight - but look at the power

Big ups to Monte "Two Jawz" Barrett for taking those shots and having the heart to get up from the floor.

Tua is irrelevant. He got outboxed by friggin old man Barrett, so whatever power he has gets cancelled out by his crudeness, lack of technique and low ring IQ. One also has to question his heart, given the condition he showed up in and his unwillingness to throw punches for half the fight.

Many felt it was too late by then. Two rounds sooner and he would have taken Barrett out.
