Like I said, just because a fighter loses, it doesn't immediately mean they are not a good opponent. When you operate at the highest level, losses are inevitable. I'd rather face a proven, semi-elite world class opponent that may have lost before (like a Cotto), than someone who has the claim of being undefeated, but obviously not being as good as some people out there. For example, Pacquiao beating an undefeated Bradley, will always be inferior to his victory over Cotto.

yep and he had just moved up from featherweight basically. Fought all of the top welters . Floyd needed 5 years in the division to grow enough balls to fight a real welterweight ,except he also happened to be pushing 40. . Say what you want about Pacquiao's opponents, even with their losses, their all good fighters that **** all over the likes of Baldomir, Sharmba Mitchell, and Judah.

  5. Yes i partly agree on Cotto. That was Pacquaios best win by far. And the only win I can honestly respect out of his last 5.

But for the P4P Champ to face those guys like Clottey, Margarito and Mosley is embarrassing.

There were guys like Berto, Bradley. I want to see him face a young live opponent. If he were to face WBC Champ Ortiz now, I would be happy to see that.

    Are those welterweights?

They fought at welterweight but they are not real welterweights.

Judah lost to Baldomir and Baldomir had 9 losses before facing Gayweather. Mitchell was slaughtered 2 fights prior by Tszyu in 3 rounds, then faced a bum so that *****s can state that he had a winning record before he faced Gayweather.

So basically he fought one legitimate opponent - Mosley, who is so old.

I think he should have faced Cotto after he beat Hatton. But Margarito and Clottey are terrible. One of them shouldnt even be boxing anymore.

Mayweather is fighting the #3 Welter in the world in his next fight.

Pacquiao is fighting a guy that everyone gave **** to Mayweather for fighting because he was too small, and apparently,at the time, too old. I suppose he is now younger.

Yeah, I kinda’ feel where you’re coming from. But at the time, Clottey was merely a keep-busy opponent when the Mayweather fight fell through and he was just about to take time out for his political stuff. I was heavily against the Margarito bout, but only because I felt the cheating ***** didn’t deserve a shot. As an opponent, he was actually a very good, tough one – as evident by the performance he put up. He faired against Pacquiao better than what any of these ‘young’ opponents – Berto, Ortiz, Bradley, Khan, etc – would have done. Just because they’re young and supposedly undefeated, it doesn’t necessarily make them the best potential opponents. But the Mosley fight was just outright disgraceful. Can’t argue with that.

And I personally wouldn’t be happy with Pacquiao fighting an Ortiz. Other than JMM – who there is unfinished business with – there is only one viable, legit fight for Pacquiao (Mayweather). Anything less than that, is unsatisfactory

Odlh should be be either added to floyds list, or taken off pacs. Floyd took on a better, fitter version of dlh, even if it was not at ww it was a much tougher fight for floyd than it was for pac due to the weight

the cotto win alone is by far better than any of floyd's win at welter. heck even it was better than any of floyd's career win except maybe the corrales win.

As it stands pac has a clear edge right now.

Floyd is mitchel, judah, bald, hatton, jmm, mosley.

Pac is oscar, cotto, clottey, margo, mosley.

Next fights begin to close the difference because ortiz is a better fight than marquez.

After that I think floyd will fight khan and pac will fight bradley. That point it'll be level I believe.

Hopefully they'll then fight to establish who has the superior legacy.
