In Joshua Clottey's defense he did have a good showing against Judah, but then lost a controversial fight to Cotto in a lackluster performance, but he's the ONLY one you can make a case for.

If you ignore the opinions of black people and Pinoys, the consensus amongst almost everyone is that Pac has a superior record above 140.

But why shouldnt he get credit just because it looked easy? he was still considered smaller than hatton and should be fighting at lightweight, hatton was undefeated at 140 and it was considered a very even match up 60/40 type in pacs favour, if he wins in sensational fashion then its still worth getting credit for imo, I dont like how it gets turned to shot since floyd and thats why he was cherrypicked and was an easy win eventhough hatton looked good vs malignaggi before that.
I think floyd beating him was one of his best wins at welter but that doesnt make pacs win at 140 worthless.

******* reasoning never ceases to amaze me.

How in the hell is the Cotto fight a "legit WW win" when the fight wasn't even contested @ 147lbs? Beyond that, Cotto was coming off of a KO LOSS.

And please tell me what significance is the Clottey win? What had Clottey done @ 147lbs?

    Please explain...

losing in the past before fighting someone is not "coming off a loss".

only clottey was "coming off a loss". & that loss was so debatable he was made a mando to the title pac won off cotto...

i swear to god...the level of ******edness in pac/may threads is off the ****ing charts. these ****ers don't even know the ****ing right terminology.

I'm white and I think Mayweather is more talented. But that's not what I said. What I said is Pac's resume @<140 is considered superior. That's the general consensus amongst the unbiased fans.

I was going by previous 3 fights. Can you argue my list based on the opponents previous 3 showings? No. You can't. I was fair and removed Mitchell and Judah from Mayweather's list. I was not biased. So sit down and learn something *******!

Mayweather avoided Clottey? :rofl :rofl :rofl

Cotto didn't want any of Mayweather, and Arum wasn't about to let that happen after Floyd went on his own. Arum avoided Mayweather. Mayweather didn't avoid Cotto. Besides, Kneeguel Cotto never posed a serious threat to Mayweather anyway. Dude is garbage.

Everyone is trying to say the Cotto in the Manny fight was the best, not at all. First of all mentally was Cotto even prepared for the fight or even focus?, even admitting his hunger for boxing was not the same. Had lawsuits and personal family problems and marriage as well, training himself basically no real head trainer , shoulder injury which he never complain about, not fully heal from his Clottey fight, and aside from the weight demand. Lets not kid ourselves or be blind.
