one fo the best JMW's in history, a stylistic nightmare for anyone ever from 147-160. Some great wins, a close losses to other ATG's.....

Winky's a shoe in for HOF

i am. he drew against jermain and pissed and moaned about it only to turn down around 5 million for a rematch. he also repeatedly priced himself out of a fight w/ pavlik despite a large majority of this board thinking he would have won pretty handily.

i've been a huge fan of winky for a long time but he was stubborn as a mule when it came to contract negotiations and did price himself out of some major fights.

...only when he lost interest in boxing, started his own promo team which fell on its arse because he couldn't be bothered fighting to get it off the ground. that's just the truth.

it was mosley and tito who gave him the fights he deserved years before

    51-5 Professional Record
    11-2 World title Fights

    52-4 Amateur Record

    Notable Victories:
    Shane Mosley(x2)
    Felix Trinidad
    Bronco McKart(first title win)

    Notable Draw:
    Jermain Taylor (Middleweight Title)

    Notable Losses:
Julio Cesar Vasquez(first world title shot, first defeat)
    Harry Simon
    Fernando Vargas
    Bernard Hopkins
Paul Williams(retired for 2 years prior)

Just for those who needed to know:

As for my judgement, no. If Vernon Forrest isn't in, then he doesn't even deserve consideration. Sure he has over 10 wins in World title fights but so does William Joppy. Somewhere there is a line, and unfortunately for him he falls just short of that line.
