Barrett is lucky that wasnt the version tua that ko ruiz, maskaev, rahman and an awesome war with ike.
if tua is a "huge puncher" what does that make the guys who actually put barrett away? like haye who spanked him all over the ring & knocked him down several times? or solis who floored monte badly with a jab? there really isn't any way you can take positives from tua failing to beat barrett twice.
Then again Barrett is 40 years old and was gassed out by round 10. A 30 year old version would have had more stamina to stay away from Tua, like he did in rounds 1-9.
typical Tua, if this guy had less power no one on here would have ever hard of him, he's one trick pony, glad his ridiculously overhyped career is over now.
Why do people make threads and get excited about David Tua? He was never that good in his prime never mind as a 46 year old has been.
Tua is not 46. He is 38 years old. He came in overweight - and Barrett trained the house down in ways he NEVER usually does. Why? I have no idea why he lifts himself for Tua. People say Tua "never was" that great. Yet he KO'd Rahman, Moorer, Ruiz, Oquendo and many other champs and contenders. He has yet to fight the Klits, but even now it may be a far more exciting match than many that take place. As you can see, his punching power is still there. But he MUST come in fit and trim. That is Tua's main downfall. Take a look again at the video and tell me who else in the division punches like that.
Shocker a dumb poster bashing tua who is the same fighter that ko the fighter in your avatar in 10 second.
