Ruiz was green. Moorer was totally done as a serious contender when he fought Tua. The Rahman KO came on a shot that landed after the round had ended. He should have been disqualified in that fight, and he got a gift draw in the the rematch. Oquendo? LOL. I don't know why anybody is still playing the woulda, coulda, shoulda game with Tua at this point. The praise for him far exceeds his actual accomplishments and level of talent.

Under 30 years old weighing under 230 pound Tua would have ko under 30 years old or 30 years old barrett.

This thread title kind of reminds me of the one happily proclaiming "Hamed breaks Barrera's nose and does the Ali shuffle!" :yep

Ruiz was top 3 title contender when he fought tua. You say tua should have been dq in the first rahman fight cause he hit rahman after the bell? If thats the case then rahman should have beem deducted a point in the rematch when he knockdown tua after the bell in which if it happend, tua would have won the fight. Why you laughing about Oquendo? Hes the same fighter that really beat bryd who beat tua.

So Kiwi......did you EVER watch the Lewis and Bryd fights?

Where were Tua's big punches against these guys?:?

Both fights were boring..........especially as Tua hardly landed any punches.........a 2011 Tua against a K brother would be even more of a snooze fest!

One big punch is all it takes.

Are you telling me there is NO CHANCE that Tua could connect?
I think he has a better chance than half the guys Wlad has been fighting.

Look the fact that Tua had power in his punches is not in doubt.......but what many rightly point out here (myself included) is that Tua lacked the boxing skills to make any contest against Lewis or Bryd.

The Barrett fights with Haye and Solis are significant and can be measured against Tua's 2 fights with Barrett because, in boxing terms all 4 of these fights that involved Barrett took place relatively recently.

Are you trying to tell me that if Tua landed with a punch that BROKE WLAD's JAW like he did to Barrett 2 days ago - that Wlad would just get up and carry on?

Is that what you are saying?

Are you saying that Tua, would have broken Wlad's jaw......despite the fact that he couldn't connect with Lewis's jaw.........and didn't fare much better against Bryd's jaw?:?

Tua can only fight in spurts. His stamina is gone and his punch resistance has declined. The last round he really gave it his all. I can admire that. Exciting finish by the look of the highlights. He shows glimpses of the old Tua when he briefly explodes, though.

how did haye ko a younger barrett...when tua couldn't even do it in 2 fights?

    :huh

did the barrett who was out of it & on the floor after getting hit by solis' jab suddenly become an iron-chinned menace?

& wtf does that younger version of tua have to do with the butterbean mini-me that we're discussing anyway?

**** all. shut it hogan. :good

if tua can't ko barrett...not even once in 2 fights...then **** no he can't ko wlad or vitali. is this a joke?
