Because Baldomir was garbage. Who was never in the top 5 to begin with, he was not big a threat as Margarito or Cotto. Judah ducked Margarito to fight a #10 contender, that's a lousy champion, so basically you value belts over the threat of a fighter. If Floyd fought Margarito or Cotto after winning those paper belts you would have a point, but he didn't, he cherrypicked the belts and didn't defend them one time against a 147lb fighter. True or False? True. Floyd kept his belts for what reason? To fight Hatton at 147lbs defending those belts? And avoid the top contenders, who were regarded as the biggest threats at 147lbs. You're a joke, that started watching the sport last year after Mosley 24/7. If you're going to start regarding Baldomir and Judah as bigger threats than Margarito and Cotto were done here.
:rofl:rofl look clown, where did I ever say they were more of a threat? I did say Judah was more of a stylistic nightmare to Floyd than Margarito and Cotto was though. Baldomir wasn't as good as Margarito, but **** he had better wins at the time than Margarito and was worth more money. Tell me. What was Margarito's biggest win at the time? Cintron? Prime Judah is better than fricken Cintron Then he defended his belt to Gatti. Sorry that Floyd didn't defend his belt. He was busy getting 2.4 million ppv buys and getting his 6th belt in his 5th weight class against a future HOF. I forgot to mention if Floyd fought Margarito instead of Baldomir, he would have had to resign with Arum and that meant no chance of fighting Oscar De La Hoya. Mayweather leaving Arum and fighting Baldomir was the smartest thing he did in his career
I'm going off the Ring ratings for Weltwerweight. Margarito earned his shot for a title against Judah, because he was the #1 contender, Judah ducked him. Baldomir was literally the #10 contender at Weltwerweight via the Ring Ratings when he fought Judah. He didn't deserve the shot and Judah was a poor champion. Belts don't define a fighter. Floyd won belts off a weak champion, but what Floyd did after that is even worse, he didn't defend those belts against one legit 147lb fighter. True? If Floyd had fought Cotto after Hatton then this wouldn't even be a discussion. He didn't because he chose not to, despite having the chance, that's a duck. Margarito was the #1 contender don't try and diminish his wins. That's just lame/weak. What more do you have to do then become #1 contender in the division you're fighting in? The guy was avoided, period.
Why do you keep saying the same thing over and over again. i can just copy and paste my old argument. I gave you answers to every single thing you just said. You're just saying the same things over and over Are you joking or serious?
I got one for you. Pacuqio moved up to fight David Diaz at 135. The weakest title holder. Not the Lineal champ like Baldomir, but the weakest title holder. He then doesn't defend his title against Juan Diaz and Juan Manuel Marquez and moves up to fight Oscar De La Hoya same scenario except Manny actually chery picked David Diaz and he wasn't the lineal champ
Cotto at no point wanted no parts of Floyd Mayweather...even today when asked who he would like to fight.....he again forgets to mention the name Floyd.....HE WANTS NO PARTS! NEVER HAS! Thats not to say if Arum got him the fight he would back down though...i'll give him that much....but a fight with Floyd he just did not care for and its evident. Now Margo that motherfukker wanted a fight! Arum made offers for Margo as well.....but the before mentioned, nobody in that camp wanted him anywhere near Floyd!
You're answers prove my point that he ducked. You are yet to confirm this yourself. Floyd has more excuses than a desert has sand. Fighting a lesser risk for higher reward is ducking, unless you live in a mythical world where Carlos Baldomir was a higher risk fight than Margarito. Choosing to retire instead of fighting an undefeated #1 contender for your belts is ducking. I understand that you don't agree, which is cool. We can end this here.
So did Pacquiao duck Berto to fight Oldsley? Really Baldomir and Margarito were on the same level. People were saying he was ducking him also. If he fought Margo, then Baldomir was ducked. I don't think any fighter in Floyd's position would have fought Margarito instead of Baldomir. Like I said Lineal Title, 8 million and oppurtunity to make 25 million for Oscar and 15+ million for Hatton or Another belt, 8 million and then 7 million for Hatton and 7 million for Cotto And like I already said. Floyd was planning on retiring a long time before Hatton. He just stuck to his guns this time. His body was breaking down and he got tired of boxing. If Cotto kept winning, then Floyd most definitely would have fought him when he came back
:rofl he doesn't realize that the stuff he's accusing Floyd of doing, Pacquiao has done it to a greater extent
Yes I do recall Cotto lookin' hella nervous when he was ringside at Mayweather/Gatti...didn't he say he wanted the winner?
