Cancelled Sky back in March due to health problems - was in the hospital for a bit. Back home now, and got a letter from them offering 50% off for twelve months. Guess you've just got to convince them you're not just trying it on.

 

You're right mate. All we know is that they were pulling out of PPV for a while, there is no indication of them reducing any of their other boxing coverage. All this talk of them giving up on Boxing is pure conjecture at this point.

 

It looked to me like sky are taking more of an interest, not buying the mayweather fight doesnt mean anything. Primetime couldve paid well over the odds?

 

I love boxing but i also love football so won't be cancelling the sky sports subscription, it's a shame that we seem to be losing some of the international fights for whatever reason but i'm sure Sky or someone will find out the answers soon and and let us all know!

 

I phoned Sky last week and cancelled Sky Movies , Sky Culture , Sky HD , Downgraded my phone package to Evening and Weekends and the Sky advisor advised me to downgrade my Broadband as I wasn't using enough for the unlimited ! Saved me £30 a month !

I have Sky Sports and ESPN and the Sports I watch are NFL , Rugby , Boxing and UFC ! I am really thinking about cancelling because the NFL coverage is getting less , Boxing coverage is Looking like it is going to take a turn for the worse and Welsh Rugby is on normal tv all I watch on Sky is The Super 15 and the Tri Nations ! I have ESPN for The UFC and they didn't show last weekends event ! MNF is also on ESPN as is FNF !

Also I find that I don't watch most of the Sports LIVE so apart from the Boxing and UFC I find I either find out the result before I watch it or I watch it in fast forward ! I don't want to cancel but I am starting to think if I get my money's worth ?????:think

 

Worked for me mate.Just say you enjoy Sky but moneys tight and you think you may have to get rid.They will ask you if its simply because of the cost or whether you dont watch the channels,say its because of the cost and they will offer you 6 months half price:good

 

nope i love paying money for sky.

 

Ive cancelled a few times but then they show a decent fight and I ened up going back.I just keep sports on now and try and forget how much it costs.

 

im cancelling after buckland vs sykes,barker and froch bouts
streaming is a cheaper option.
as boxing is the only sport i watch i dont feel im getting my moneys worth any more

 

I had a six month deal that gave me the sky 1/2 price but it has expired and I phoned up to renew it but they wouldnt do any better than 25% off. So I cancelled the ****.

I only watch tv at the weekend when the boxing is on, and I am not paying £44 per month or £33 per month (with the 25% discount) for that. Well, until I go crying back to them I suppose....
