Well Trout is coming on the Boxing Lab radio show in the next couple hours which should answer some questions.
Also on the same 2 hour radio show is Pawel Wolak....rumours circulating Trout vs Wolak in deep negotiations for Dec 3 at MSG on Cotto-Margarito rematch undercard.

    Yes thats him.
I had Rodriguez winning the fight about 96-94 in a close bout.

Wolak is coming off his biggest win earlier this year vs Yuri Foreman.

Trout tweeted me that he didnt want options just a rematch clause in case they copped dodgy officials. Before, he said they did have a one fight option on mundine. Mundine said theywanted a three fight option.

Whether or not trout got option and rematch clause confused? Who knows. I asked the boxing lab radio host to see if he can clarify it when they get trout on today.

Cant blame anyone for being sceptical of choc here. He's the one with the long track record of telling porkies. Boy who cried wolf?

Trouts asked 4 to many options makes good sense to be mandatory by beating the guy trout beat 2 fight back. Then u dont have to locked into rematches. winner take all. oh whipsy u hope alvarez wins but he wont. cheers

    Are Mayweathers the New Kardashians?

    by Keith Terceira - 8CN Boxing - 29th August 2011

Leave it to HBO to treat boxing like it was their own personal version of the Kardashians or Jerseylicious, guess the fight hype was just to stale for the broadcasting giant, that they had to treat viewers to the implosion on global TV of the Mayweather family.

The Victor Ortiz rags to riches, success by hard work portion of the 24/7 show segues right into the spoiled rich kid turns bad boy to Daddy segment very nicely, as the Mayweather family performed like a bad episode of “Intervention”.

Guess HBO figured that Kim Kardashian was so distracted by her recent wedding and honeymoon that they would pull a coup and steal the reality show crown from the star. Perhaps they were simply attempting to set a new world record for the usage of the term mother-trucker, and kill the sport just a little bit more, has if their half-baked Pay Per views don’t cast enough shadows on boxing.

The whole damn thing reads as a conspiracy to destroy boxing and have HBO swoop in and join forces with the UFC to control the world of combat sports, knocking out boxing and leaving the chaos to ESPN and Showtime, on the newest season of “The X Files”.

Was this the HBO answer for ESPN Friday Night Fights kicking their proverbial butts all year in quality boxing matches?

Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems to be taking this “Money” persona he has created to a new level, or perhaps it is not a persona at all, it’s just the “Pretty Boy” all grown up and being the real Mayweather, instead of the young Floyd that the boxing world fell in love with representing our country in the Olympics and the first decade of his career.

Guess HBO figured that the Mayweather – Ortiz fight was so boring a match-up that we needed to be subjected to the family antics of the Mayweathers to brighten and peek our interest, they may be correct but the obvious play on the good guy versus the bad guy in boxing, was corny scripted trash, much on the level of the Hogan family archives.

Has Boxing lost its freaking mind, are we suddenly a side-show for HBO, and are they now issuing casting calls instead of bout agreements for pay per views?

I’m half expecting Vince McMann to announce that WWE has bought the sport of boxing!

In the previous two months we have had three blind mice, one rotten referee, and now we have the “Mayweathers go Manic” on HBO.

What’s next for us in boxing, perhaps we can see Floyd on the next version of COPS, or Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. doing a deposition for the slander suit presided over by Judge Judy.

Paris Hilton makes boxing news with visits in the Philippines with Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao, hopefully not to get Manny involved with her new series “The World According to Paris” because it just got axed by TV network Oxygen.

Both Povetkin and Helenius come out winners over the weekend in the auditions for the next heavyweight titlist to Wladimir and Vitali, but Evander Holyfield may have upstaged the entire show with his appearances and the entire heavyweight division in the United States are performing like boxing needs its own version of “America’s Got Talent”. Evander Holyfield appears to have the lead role at the moment in taking a title shot to Las Vegas.

The Brazilian authorities so botched up the Arturo Gatti death that longtime friend and trainer Pat Lynch has had to invest heavily in doing his own version of “CSI: New Jersey” to prove what many believe to be the homicide of the legendary champion. Why the American government didn’t do this for Boxing instead of it falling on Pat’s shoulders bewilders me, as Arturo sure paid the IRS enough money over the years to get a little assistance and justice.

Manny Pacquiao, VisionQwest, Bob Arum, and Michael Koncz are putting a new spin on the show Donald Trump made famous, “The Apprentice” and so far at one point or the other, everyone has gotten “Fired”. We all thought Koncz was a goner, but it appeared that he formed an alliance with Bob Arum forcing Pacquiao to eliminate his accounting firm making VisionQwest the latest victim, but they promise that we have not heard the last from them, as Michael Lodge, VisionQwest’s CEO promises it will go into the courtroom.

Darryl Cunningham is still hoping for clues in the newest knockoff of “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego”. Boxing Fans are not entirely thrilled with “Where the hell is Kelly Pavlik” but it may make a return engagement in the future.

Will someone please, just get in the ring, and fight already!

It's still not clear who Austin Trout will be fighting next, nor when it might take place.

Bundrage has his sights firmly set on Wolak, perhaps leaving Trout in the cold.

BUNDRAGE TO WOLAK: "I TOLD DON...SET THE FIGHT UP...I WANT THE FIGHT"

by David Kassel - Fight Hype - September 2nd 2011

"I actually told Don and left him a voice mail to set the fight up and Don hasn't called me back. He's not getting under my skin. I want the fight. I was watching video and said this guy is a bum...How can I overprice myself when I haven't heard anything from Don King...I'm not desperate for the fight, but I will eat him up," stated IBF Jr. middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage in response to recent comments made by jr. middleweight contender Pawel Wolak.

Bundrage went on to comment about HBO, allegations he spit in the face of Sechew Powell, the state of boxing referees, and much more. Check it out! *"K9" Bundrage had plenty to say to Fighthype and The Boxing Observer about a variety of topics. Here's a few excerpts from our conversation...*

*On comments made by Pawel Wolak in a recent interview on FightHype... * /"What am I going to get outta the 'Raging Diva'? All it will do is move me up one spot in the rankings. It's not something I won't do. I actually told Don [King] and left him a voice mail to set the fight up, and Don hasn't called me back. He's not getting under my skin. I want the fight. I was watching video and said this guy is a bum. Sechew Powell would wipe Wolak up. He can't fight boxers...They just have to pay me to get the opportunity. He has the pay-per-view date, but he isn't the #1 contender, so they have to pay me.

He only wants the fight because I'm world champion. I'm not desperate for the fight, but I will eat him up...Wolak thinks he can wear me out because I've only fought about 20 rounds in the last 2 years. I'm one of the best conditioned athletes in the world."/ *On rumors that he is overpricing himself...

    * /"How can I overprice myself when I haven't heard anything from Don King. I left a voice mail for Don King and haven't heard back. Don is working on other things, [Ricardo] Mayorga, and other stuff. Don is about that money. I'm not getting nothing out of fighting desperate fighters. If they think I'm doing it just for the money, bring it on. I'm not trying to fight no pretenders...I ain't worried about the money. I'm gonna get paid. I'll fight anybody. One more fight and I'm set for life. I ain't desperate. The way the economy is in Detroit, I'm rich. Don wants to get that money, and maybe he's trying to get too much money. He has a 2-fight deal. Plain and simple, I want to fight. I need to be fighting! Bring on anyone. I'm ready for anyone."/ *On rumors he spit on Sechew Powell after beating him in June...

    * /"Ring Magazine is slandering me because I didn't spit on Sechew Powell after the fight. I just told him, 'I got you', to let him know I beat him and that's why he hit me after the bell. He couldn't take the fact I beat him. He was just mad. First of all, ESPN said I spit in his face, then Detroit news heard it from ESPN, and then everyone started spreading it. Let's get it all cranked up. I did not spit in his face. He couldn't take the fact he lost. I was gonna hit him back after he hit me, but I decided, as a good Christian, to show good sportsmanship and turn the other cheek."/ *On being consistently passed over by networks and media...

    * /"I'm not the best jr. middleweight? I'm one of the best fighters in the world. In the last Ring Magazine, they had Sechew Powell as the most avoided fighter at jr. middleweight and I beat him, and they still don't want to give me credit. If he was most avoided in the world and I just beat him, what does that make me? I'm the most avoided fighter. Only guys that wanna fight me are the bums...when I beat Cory Spinks, I took him straight to the street. That fight, and the Sechew Powell fight, should have been on HBO. Why do u think they showed the highlights? They trying to set up a fight with Saul Alvarez...someone at HBO told me I would get Saul Alavrez after I beat Powell. Manny Steward told me I would get Saul. Steward told me [Larry] Merchant said that. Harold Lederman told me Saul is next. What happened? He is fighting [Alfonso] Gomez. They say the best fights are on HBO, but I haven't fought there yet. It's my time, before I'm 90 years old, to fight on HBO because my fans deserve it. There needs to be a jr. middleweight tournament, with [Miguel] Cotto, [Erislandy] Lara, Alvarez, K9, Sergio Martinez, [Alfredo] Angulo, [James] Kirkland, [Austin] Trout, The Raging Diva [Pawel Wolak], Carlos Molina, Kermit Cintron...jr. middleweight ain't no joke...I should be #2 in Ring Magazine rankings, not #7. The only person that should be ahead of me is Cotto. I'm a world champ. You have to give me my credit or I'm gonna keep taking it. I'm getting better with age."/ *On his marketability...

    * /"I kept the contender going. HBO should do a reality show about me. Straight up, about boxing; I have fans all over the world and HBO can get huge ratings. If you think Floyd [Mayweather] can talk, wait til you put me on there. I'm the king of boxing reality shows...I brought people to boxing that don't like boxing because of The Contender. When Floyd Mayweather did Dancing With The Stars, he brought in new fans. I brought plenty of fans into the sport from all around the world./

*On who he thinks he should be fighting, including rumors he heard about Shane Mosley...

    * /"I should be about to fight Saul Alvarez; Pacquiao. I'm a southpaw killer. Pacquiao, Martinez, bring on the best...I know I told Don to make the Wolak fight happen because I know that will lead to bigger things. I've also heard Shane Mosley is looking for a belt and is looking good in the gym. I heard he has mentioned my name through the grapevine; he was looking to fight me. Give me a call and let's make it happen. I respect Shane, but I ain't nothing to play with. I hit harder than Manny Pacquiao."/

*On Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather...* /"I would crush Manny Pacquiao because he's too little and styles make fights. If Pacquiao beat me, I would be so ashamed because he's so little. Trust me, they're keeping Pacquiao away from me. I would knock him off balance and really hurt him. If Pacquiao beat me, I would fight for free. We can fight for winner take all. If I lose, he can take it all. That just shows I'm not in it for the money. I just want to prove I'm one of the best fighters in the world...If Mayweather wants it, he can come get it too. I respect him, but he can come get it. Floyd told me years ago, 'K9, I've seen the power.' No matter who they fight, Floyd and Pacquiao are getting $20 million." /

*About the refereeing in his fights...

    * /"To the referees...the ref told me before the fight with Powell, 'K9, I saw your last fight.' What is he looking at my last fight for? I was about to knock Powell out and the ref pulled me off. Thankfully, Manny and Don straightened them out. We need to train the referees better. I'm a world champ and I should get the best refs...I'm not the contender anymore. I'm world champ."/

    *Other comments...

    * /"If someone beats me, you won't hear nothing else from me, but quit being biased. Knock the old man out of the way. Just quit ducking me...K9 keepin it FightHype cuz you all 100% real. To all my fans, hit me up on Twitter. The dawg is coming!"
