Bob Arum advised the scene that his people are working hard to finalize the deal, who ya`got and why? I think this could be a difficult fight for Nonito, given the very awkward style of Narvaez and his experience, Narvaez is an undefeated two time world champion, he`s the current WBO superflyweight champ, i would go further and say this could be nonito`s first really dangerous fight, Narvaez is no joke.
WHAT?!!! Why?! What? atsch Narvaez is going to go from fighting Urina at 115 to ****ing Donaire? ...I do not believe it. I mean, I know Arum rarely lies, but...I can't see this happening. Also, if you think Narvaez is more dangerous to Donaire than Montiel and Darchinyan...I...don't know what to say to that. Maybe, but, based on what at this stage? I can't see it at all. Narvaez is a terrific little fighter but let's be serious...He's a 5'3, 115-pounder in his late thirties and Donaire will probably outgrow Bantamweight soon, as I hear it. He'd already be a strong favorite over all the very fine current, proven bantamweights.
Well, like you already know Styles make fights, take a look at Narvaez's awkward style, i think Nonito have never seen anything like it, Narvaez is an awkward, very experienced and undefeated champ, that`s why i said that, but i got Nonito by TKO, his lighnting speed is too much for anybody.
Darchinyan and Montiel are both quite awkward, to me, but there you go. Although, I'd admit Narvaez is possibly more talented than both, probably, I'd say, but Montiel and Darchinyan have faced vastly superior fighters to show how good they really are, and not just how good they can look (Narvaez looks amazing often enough). And both have proven nothing less than highly formidable bantamweights, and both naturally larger men with much more power. Could Narvaez be an interesting match? Yeah, and I'm not saying it's a "bad" match. It's perfectly respectable but the idea caught me off guard, I've got to say. Plus, it would seem strange to me that Narvaez has never even been in for a unification fight, not shown the ability to step in to the best in his division and now he's going to go up and fight Donaire out of nowhere? I'm pretty skeptical of both him being put in there with ND and him not taking a beating doing it. But, cheers to him if he gives it a go, for sure.
One thing learned watching the sport of boxing is to never underestimate anybody. Narvaez is undefeated. He has never been down or come close to being stopped.Donaire has problems with gritty boxers that can take his power and pressure him. This is actually an interesting fight. He KTFO Montiel. But i doubt it will be that easy in this fight. If Donaire is for real he should win. He will have to earn it here.I want to see how he responds to Narvaez's pressure let's see what he has in the heart, chin and stamina department.
it will be a good match up but i dont think it will last to distance since nonito will have all the advantage physically and on speed and power department plus his overall skills will be too much for omar navaez to handle. but its a good test for nonito. i just wish that he can face a much proven bantamwieghts the likes of mares, agebeko, darc since he is moving to to 122lb very soon and the jap guy or rafa is wating for him there and they both poses some serious power since the are both big that class
Often, when I read one of your comments, I make this face: :blood lol I would love a Kameda/Donaire fight,... almost as much as a Donaire/Morel fight.
lol I would love a Kameda/Donaire fight,... almost as much as a Donaire/Morel fight.[/quote] that would be a great match up. but i dont think they will put the jap against nonito since they want to keep the belt on their island.:-(
It is BY FAR the best fight of the 8 or so fighter they kept mentioning. Narvaez and Munoz (even Munoz) were the only two I wouldn't scream "Darren Barker!" at.
Donaire could be a really hard fight for Narvaez. This could be Narvaez' first really hard fight. Nonito is no joke.
Vic Darchinian was a dangerous fight, Nonito just KTFO'ed him and made it look easy, but believe me that was a dangerous fight..:yep
Honestly, who is Nonito going to fight in his weight division that can be seen as a competitive fight? There is none.
