dawson decision pretty much entirely because hopkins is very very old and im not sure dawson will play into his hands quite as much as pascal

havent seen enough of dawson but does he have a high enough workrate? unlikely

i dont think dawson is smart enough to win. he just doesnt seem like a very intelligent chap

I'd say Pascal's style would cause Hopkins more problems than Dawson does, even though from the 4th round on in both fights Hopkins had Pascal pretty much pinned down and unable to do anything.

At least Pascal had a decent workrate and something unorthodox to bother him with.

Dawson's workrate is abysmal and he loses concentration in mid fight..... not to mention being unable to see wild right hooks over the top and do anything about them. We'll just see Hopkins firing in those accurate lead rights all night, Dawson will be a befuddled mess and lose a wide decision, or perhaps be stopped late.

Why he's favourite I've no idea.

I'd make Hopkins a 1/2 on fave here.

You can't say that, you can never predict what the three judges scoring it ringside are going to say. Just say you think it will be close

He was asked his opinion. He can say whatever the **** he wants.

How can you predict how the judges are going to score it I meant? You might have it close but they might have it wide. Saying it will be a split decision is complete guesswork on the cards, saying it will be a close fight is youir opinion on how you saw it going

    Did this last week.

Easy for Hopkins. 'Bad' Chad just isn't very good.

its not that crazy really, think of how many fights have one dodge score that is quite a bit off from the others...****ing loads of them

Dawson's better than he's given credit. He's got a solid range of punches, fast hands and uses range well. Hopkins should be able to pick him apart technically but Dawson just does enough to edge it 7-5 IMO

I know that and you're right but I just think that when you're giving an opinion on how you see the fight going, you shouldn't have to talk about how the ringside judges score it. If you think it's going to be close just say that, as you say some judges are completely off and close fights can end up with wide UD's on official scorecards at times. How those a ringside score it is never a reliable source on a fight imo

Sadly he barely throws any punches. Eddie Mustafa did a similar thing at his best, I think it's too late for Manny to make any real changes.
