His last seven fights would then be Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler (Close loss), Abraham, Johnson and Ward.

Is there anyone in boxing who has a better run of form than that? He would have a much better streak than Hopkins, Segura, Wonjongkam, Bradley and Wlad, who is a undeserving 5th. Could Froch even go ahead of Marinez and Donaire?

IMO he lost to Dirrell and since P4P is just opinion where the official result isn't the gospel, I have to take that into consideration. With that said I'd probably put him at 6-7. It also of course depends on how he wins.

Its kind of strange if froch wins ring will probably put him at 9-10 but if ward wins he will be like 5/6 as if his resume is so much better.

he can't and won't beat ward and he should have lost to dirrell so he only gets props for fighting the best.
    Froch: NOT p4p material...

Pretty much everyone on the pound for pound list has been more impressive then Froch.

Pacquiao, Sergio Martinez, Mayweather, Donaire, Hopkins, Marquez, Wlad ect ect wouldnt need a gift to beat a 17 win prospect who's never been 12 rounds before. None of these guys would be losing to a guy who just came up in weight to score a lucky KO. None of these guys would lose to a Mikkel Kessler level fighter.

Froch has been more lucky then good. These guys are just good.

Their best opponent H2H was Kessler, Ward beat him clearly, Froch lost. Therefore I would rank Ward higher than Froch right now. However if Froch beats Ward, he should be ranked very well, 7 - 8 IMO.

I have Froch on my top 10 already and a win over Ward would elevate him another few spots.

I agree about Pacquiao, Martinez, Mayweather, Donaire and Marquez. Hopkins though? He drew once against a guy Froch beat and lost twice to a guy Froch stopped.

However, P4P is not solely based on performances. Whether you look amazing or ****, a win is a win and is recorded as such. Froch has shown more intangibles than any of the guys above because he doesn't have the natural talent or size that they do. Which is more important? talent or heart? I don't think any is more important than the other.

Of course he goes ahead of Martinez and Donaire! Those guys are famous for beating two guys. Froch has beaten many great fighters.

I'd have no problem sliding him in the 7 spot behind the obvious top 6. I think Ward takes this convincingly though.
