Tyson fury...................a fake or the real deal!

A fake. Everybody who isn't brilliant is a fake.

 

Brit level, MAYBE Euro level if he improves.

 

If Fury had some power, a bit of coordination, and his technique was more compact, he would be probably be pretty dangerous, cause he seems to have a good speed, a good chin, lots of heart, and he has impressive physical dimensions, problem is, his technique is sloppy, he lacks power, and doesn't seem to appreciate that technique, fighting strategically to your strengths, actually matters, Fury just thinks if you can fight you can fight.

Fury wont go further than Euro level imo, if he does, it will be because of how much the HW division has regressed, not a mark of how talented he is.

I like Tyson Fury, but he has too much of the Froch mentality about him, albeit Froch IS trying to be a little cuter these days.

 

Hes still just a pup, I think he deserves at least 5 years to grow into that huge frame of his & learn the game before judgements are made.

However, he was SO slow against Chisora he looked like he was punching underwater, thats a worry for a guy so young... im not expecting Khan speed, but if he doesnt work on that, I dont see him going much further TBH.

Im contradicting myself, I know. You see what I mean though.

 

Hand speed at heavy doesnt both me too much - just look at helenius its the fact hes a definate none puncher that worrys me. hes almost a heavyweight volume puncher - in the interviews after chisora he was saying he stopped trying to throw power shots after 4 rounds against the best and even the guys below that hes gunna have to find away to earn there respect - i really wish he learn to sit down on his jab and control fights with it. Still hes young and at this stage i think thats massive thing in his favour - that and hes a fighter hes taking on good competition for his level and he seems aware of that - more power to him i hope hes makes some noise at world level

There are no in-betweens. Either future HOF fighter or a hype job. It can never be a decent boxer who may get a paper title but will never beat the very best. Fraud or God. Those are the two options.

 

To be honest his game needs a lot of work but if he just dropped the alcohol and take outs and ate like a boxer his game would improve tremendously.. at the moment he doesn't even have the physique of a fighter, never mind the technique. But saying that he shows a lot of hope (and I'm not just talking about his height).

He's not going to go past Euro level (he'll struggle to keep the brit belt for much longer IMO too0 but I wouldnt call him a fake.

Weak in too many areas to be a force at world level. Too easy to hit, poor balance, no real punch power to speak of. He has got some great qualities of course, but you can't really be as open as he is and lack power, they're fundamental flaws in the heavyweight division.

 

Very good young heavyweight, age wise for all heavyweights that are 23 or younger he's right at the top alongside Edmund Greber, still haven't decided who is the better of the two. You can see Fury is improving greatly with every fight, stamina and condition as well as his skill set. He is a hell of a lot further on than Valuev was at the same age and look how far he went.
